1. The average cytochrome P450 content of gilthead seabream liver microsomes was found to be 0.078 +/- 0.012 (n = 4) nmol/mg protein, which was about 50%, 24% and 13% of that measured in trout, sturgeon and scup fiver microsomes, respectively.

PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF 2 FORMS OF SOLUBLE NADH CYTOCHROME-B5 REDUCTASES FROM HUMAN ERYTHROCYTES
ARINC, E; Güray, Nülüfer Tülün; SAPLAKOGLU, U; Adalı, Orhan (Elsevier BV, 1992-01-01)
1. Two forms of soluble NADH cytochrome b5 reductase were purified from human erythrocytes. Two distinct fractions both having the NADH cytochrome b5 reductase activity eluted from the second DEAE-cellulose column were further purified by ultrafiltration and 5'-ADP-agarose affinity chromatography.
RESOLUTION OF MULTIPLE FORMS OF BOVINE LIVER ARGINASE BY CHROMATOFOCUSING
TURKOGLU, S; OZER, I (Elsevier BV, 1991-01-01)
1. Bovine liver arginase could be resolved into three distinct peaks by chromatofocusing in the pH range 7-4.
POSSIBLE INVOLVEMENT OF MANGANESE IN THE CATALYTIC MECHANISM OF BOVINE LIVER ARGINASE
TURKOGLU, S; OZER, I (Elsevier BV, 1992-06-01)
1. Bovine liver arginase followed Michaelis-Menten kinetics in the pH range of 4.5-9.0. The variation of upsilon(i) pH implied that a basic group (pK(alpha) 8.7) functions at the catalytic site.
Immobilization of glucose oxidase in conducting graft copolymers and determination of glucose amount in orange juices with enzyme electrodes
Yildiz, HB; Kiralp, S; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yagci, Y (Elsevier BV, 2005-12-15)
Glucose oxidase was immobilized in conducting copolymers of three different types of poly(methyl methacrylate-co-thienyl methacrylate). Immobilization of enzyme was carried out by the entrapment in conducting polymers during electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole on the copolymer electrodes. Maximum reaction rate, Michaelis-Menten constants, temperature, pH and operational stabilities were determined for immobilized enzyme. The amount of glucose in orange juices of Turkey was investigated by using enzyme...
Evaluation of symbiotic effectiveness of various Rhizobium cicer strains
İçgen, Bülent; Özcengiz, Gülay (Elsevier BV, 2002-07-01)
Five local and seven standard strains of Rhizobium cicer were compared in terms of their efficiency in increasing the nitrogen content of the chickpea. Shoot dry weight, nodule number, nodule dry weight, protein and total nitrogen contents were taken as the parameters of plant productivity. Different combinations of the strains that were found to be promising (385, 620, Y-29 and 3379) were next employed. The maximum increase in total nitrogen content was only 3.5-fold in single infection whereas an increase...
