This article describes simulation problems of hybrid excitation generator. As an example a conceptual prototype machine is build with two parts. One part of the machine is typical synchronous permanent magnet generator (with surface mounted magnets on rotor). The second part of machine has rotor with rotating-coil excitation. Both parts are integrated. Rotors are seated on a common shaft and stator is also common (the same) on whole length of both rotors. Article shows the problems of theoretical solving of electromagnetic circuit for this machine type. Main problem is regulating of excitation flux what Oyes directly problem with valuation of inducted voltage and power factor. There are three different methods used by authors to examine prototype of hybrid generator. In this article authors present a model of generator prepared in Ansoft Maxwell V.11. Pictures of machine intersections in different planes are presented.

Design and electromagnetic optimization of a respiration harvester
Goreke, Utku; Azgın, Kıvanç; Beyaz, Mustafa Ilker (2014-09-10)
This work reports the design and electromagnetic optimization of a MEMS-scale turbo generator for harvesting fluidic energy in human exhalation. The device is composed of a turbine with dual -layer integrated permanent magnets, ball bearings, and stators with micro coils. For an efficient energy conversion, number of magnetic poles should be optimized to obtain maximum flux density in a given device geometry, where magnetic reluctance and leakage act as two competing effects. This optimization has been perf...
Design and prototyping of an electromagnetic mems energy harvester for low frequency vibrations
Türkyılmaz, Serol; Külah, Haluk; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2011)
This thesis study presents the design, simulation, and fabrication of a low frequency electromagnetic micro power generator. This power generator can effectively harvest energy from low frequency external vibrations (1-100 Hz). The main objective of the study is to increase the efficiency of the previously proposed structure in METU-MEMS Center, which uses the frequency up-conversion technique to harvest energy from low frequency vibration. The proposed structure has been demonstrated by constructing severa...
Neural-network quantum states for a two-leg Bose-Hubbard ladder under magnetic flux
Çeven, K.; Oktel, M. Ö.; Keleş, Ahmet (2022-12-01)
Quantum gas systems are ideal analog quantum simulation platforms for tackling some of the most challenging problems in strongly correlated quantum matter. However, they also expose the urgent need for new theoretical frameworks. Simple models in one dimension, well studied with conventional methods, have received considerable recent attention as test cases for new approaches. Ladder models provide the logical next step, where established numerical methods are still reliable, but complications of higher dim...
Analysis and simulation of the backscattering enhancement phenomenon from randomly distributed point scatterers
Ağar, Kartal Şahin; Koç, Seyit Sencer; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2007)
This thesis investigates analysis and simulation of the backscattering enhancement phenomenon from randomly distributed point scatterers. These point scatterers are randomly distributed within a cube or a sphere and then the backscattering enhancement phenomenon from both cubical and spherical distributions are examined throughout the thesis. The general characteristic differences between cubical and spherical distribution about the scattering phenomenon are observed. T-matrix method is used for analytic in...
Modeling, Analysis and Control of an Isolated Boost Converter for System Level Studies
Zahedi, Bijan; Norum, Lars E. (2011-09-10)
This paper performs a modeling of an isolated full bridge boost converter that suits the system level studies of power electronic -based systems. For system level studies, in which large signal models must be developed, linearized average value models are invalid. Large signal analysis can be carried out by nonlinear State Space models. In this paper generalized state space averaging method is adopted to include ripple modeling for higher accuracy. The obtained model is compared to a number of other averagi...
