Parity violating asymmetry in inclusive pi(0) or pi(1) meson production by longitudinally polarized electrons on unpolarized protons, is calculated as a function of the momentum transfer square k(2) and the total energy W of the piN system. We consider the Delta contribution in the s channel, the standard Born contributions and the vector mesons (rho and omega) exchanges in the t channel. The parity-odd term is the sum of two contributions. The main term (found to be linear in k(2)) comes from the isovector component of the electromagnetic currents. It is model independent and can be calculated exactly in terms of fundamental constants. The second term is isoscalar in nature. Near threshold and in the Delta region, it is found to be much smaller (in absolute value) than the isovector one.

Electromagnetic form factors of electrodisintegration of light nuclei near threshold
Yalcin, C; Rekalo, MP; Koru, H (1998-06-01)
The general structure of electromagnetic currents for electrodisintegration of nuclei near threshold, e(-) + A --> e(-) + A(1) + A(2) (A, A(1) and A(2) are arbitrary nuclei or hadrons with spins 0, 1/2 and 1), are established. Considering nuclei as elementary particles with the definite values of spin and space parity and using the conservation of hadronic electromagnetic current and P-invariance of hadron electromagnetic interaction, the spin structure of the amplitudes of the processes gamma* + A --> A(1)...
Light-cone sum rules for radial excitation of decuplet to octet baryons electromagnetic transition form factors
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk; Savcı, Mustafa (2021-11-01)
In this paper magnetic dipole moment form factor, G(M)((2))(Q(2)), describing the radial excitation of decuplet baryons to octet baryons electromagnetic transitions as well as the ratios, RSM = - 1/4m(2)(2) root 4(m2)(Q)(2)(2) + (m(2)(2) - Q(2) - m(1)(2))2 G(C)((2))(Q(2))/ G(M)((2))(Q(2)) and R-EM = -G(E)((2))(Q(2)) G(M)((2))(Q(2)) are calculated in the framework of light-cone sum rules. We also estimate the degree of the violation of U-spin symmetry.
Free-Space Fundamental Solution of a 2D Steady Slow Viscous MHD Flow
Sellier, A.; AYDIN, SELÇUK HAN; Tezer, Münevver (2014-12-01)
The fundamental free-space 2D steady creeping MHD flow produced by a concentrated point force of strength g located at a so-called source point x(0) in an unbounded conducting Newtonian liquid with uniform viscosity mu and conductivity sigma > 0 subject to a prescribed uniform ambient magnetic field B = Be-1 is analytically obtained. More precisely, not only the produced flow pressure p and velocity u but also the resulting stress tensor field sigma are expressed at any observation point x not equal x(0) in...
Low-frequency conductivity tensor imaging with a single current injection using DT-MREIT
Sadighi, Mehdi; Şişman, Mert; Acikgoz, Berk C.; Eroglu, Hasan H.; Eyüboğlu, Behçet Murat (2021-03-01)
Diffusion tensor-magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (DT-MREIT) is an imaging modality to obtain low-frequency anisotropic conductivity distribution employing diffusion tensor imaging and MREIT techniques. DT-MREIT is based on the linear relationship between the conductivity and water self-diffusion tensors in a porous medium, like the brain white matter. Several DT-MREIT studies in the literature provide cross-sectional anisotropic conductivity images of tissue phantoms, canine brain, and th...
Electronic, elastic and optical properties on the Zn1-xMgxSe mixed alloys
Sürücü, Gökhan; Colakoglu, K.; Deligoz, E.; ÇİFTCİ, YASEMİN; Korozlu, N. (2011-02-01)
The structural, elastic, electronic and optical properties of Zn1-xMgxSe ternary mixed crystals are investigated by utilizing the first-principles plane-wave pseudopotential method within the LDA approximations. Some basic physical properties, such as lattice constant, bulk modulus, second-order elastic constants (C-ij), Shear modulus, Young's modulus, Poison's ratio, Lame constants and the electronic band structures, are calculated. We have, also, predicted the optical properties such as dielectric functio...
