Effect of High-Density Nanoparticles on Recrystallization and Texture Evolution in Ferritic Alloys
Aydoğan Güngör, Eda; Carvajal-Nunez, Ursula; Vogel, Sven C.; Li, Meimei; Maloy, Stuart A. (MDPI AG, 2019-03-01)
Ferritic alloys are important for nuclear reactor applications due to their microstructural stability, corrosion resistance, and favorable mechanical properties. Nanostructured ferritic alloys having a high density of Y-Ti-O rich nano-oxides (NOs < 5 nm) are found to be extremely stable at high temperatures up to similar to 1100 degrees C. This study serves to understand the effect of a high density of nano-particles on texture evolution and recrystallization mechanisms in ferritic alloys of 14YWT (14Cr-3W-...
Structural, electrical and optical properties of Ge implanted GaSe single crystals grown by Bridgman technique
KARAAĞAÇ, HAKAN; Parlak, Mehmet; KARABULUT, ORHAN; SERİNCAN, UĞUR; Turan, Raşit; Akinoglu, B. G. (Wiley, 2006-12-01)
Structural, optical and electrical properties of Ge implanted GaSe single crystal have been studied by means of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), temperature dependent conductivity and photoconductivity (PC) measurements for different annealing temperatures. It was observed that upon implanting GaSe with Ge and applying annealing process, the resistivity is reduced from 2.1x10(9) to 6.5x10(5) ohm-em. From the temperature dependent conductivities, the activation energies have been found to be 4, 34, and 314 meV for a...
Analysis of the Specific Heat in the Supercooled Solid Phase of Liquid Crystals
Kilit, Emel; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Informa UK Limited, 2011-01-01)
The specific heat Cp is analyzed using the experimental data at various temperatures in the solid phase of cholesteryl myristate according to a power-law formula for the rapidly and slowly cooled solid in the stability limit. We also analyze the temperature dependence of the Cp using the experimental data for the supercooled solid phase of p-azoxyanisole in the stability limit and the stability temperatures are determined for both cholesteryl myristate and p-azoxyanisole.
Effects of annealing on structural, electrical and optical properties of AgGa(Se0.5S0.5)(2) thin films deposited by using sintered stoichometric powder
KARAAĞAÇ, HAKAN; Parlak, Mehmet (Wiley, 2009-04-01)
The structural, electrical and optical properties of AgGa(Se0.5S0.5)(2) thin films deposited by using the thermal evaporation method have been investigated as a function of annealing in the temperature range of 450-600 degrees C. X-ray diffraction (X-RD) analysis showed that the structural transformation from amorphous to polycrystalline structure started at 450 degrees C with mixed binary phases of Ga2Se3, Ga2S3, ternary phase of AgGaS2 and single phase of S. The compositional analysis with the energy disp...
Annealing effect on electrical and photoconductive properties of Si implanted GaSe single crystal
KARABULUT, ORHAN; Parlak, Mehmet; Yılmaz, Koray Kamil; Turan, Raşit; Akınoğlu, Bülent Gültekin (Wiley, 2003-01-01)
GaSe single crystals grown by Bridgman method have been doped by ion implantation technique. The samples were bombarded in the direction parallel to c-axis by Si ion beam of about 100 keV to doses of 1x10(16) ions/cm(2) at room temperature. The effects of Si implantation with annealing at 500 and 600 degreesC on the electrical properties have been studied by measuring the temperature dependent conductivity and photoconductivity under different illumination intensities in the temperature range of 100-320 K. ...
