Seven-spot steam injection experiments in heavy oil reservoirs having a bottom water zone
Bağcı, Ali Suat (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2005-05-01)
A 3-D scaled physical model was used to compare the performance of steam injection in reservoirs having a bottom water zone with the application of different well configurations. The 14 model was triangular, designed to represent 1/12 of a seven-spot pattern in the Bati Kozluca field in Turkey. Nine experiments were conducted by using the triangular model with or without a 14 bottom water zone. The well configurations were changed during the course of experiments to determine their effects on oil recovery. ...
Three-dimensional finite element analysis used to compare methods of fixation after sagittal split ramus osteotomy: setback surgery-posterior loading
Erkmen, E; Simsek, B; Yucel, E; Kurt, Aygül (2005-04-01)
We used three-dimensional finite element analysis to compare the biomechanical stability of bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomies fixed by tag screws with linear and triangular configuration, and double or single six-hole miniplates with monocortical screws after set-back operation. The three-dimensional finite element model contained 122,717 elements and 25,048 nodes. Posterior occlusal toads were simulated on the distal segments. MSC Marc software was used to calculate the stress fields on both the s...
Three-dimensional non-isothermal model development of high temperature PEM Fuel Cells
Caglayan, Dilara Gulcin; Sezgin, Berna; DEVRİM, YILSER; Eroğlu, İnci (2018-06-07)
A three-dimensional non-isothermal mathematical model is developed in a triple mixed serpentine flow multichannel domain for a high temperature PEM Fuel Cell having a phosphoric acid doped PBI membrane as electrolyte and an active area of 25 cm(2) within Comsol Multiphysics. The inlet temperatures of cathode and anode reactants are taken as 438 K. Model predicts pressure, and temperature distribution along the channels and membrane current density distribution over the membrane electrodes. The model results...

Two new species in Acantholimon sect. Staticopsis (Plumbaginaceae) from Turkey
Doğan, Musa (2003-01-01)
Acantholimon koycegizicum Dogan & Akaydin sp. nova and A. goksunicum Dogan & Akaydin sp. nova (Plumbaginaceae) are described and illustrated from Anatolia, Turkey. Acantholimon koycegizicum grows on serpentine mountain slopes between Koycegiz and Kaplicalar (C2 Mugla) in South West Anatolia, and A. goksunicum grows on calcareous mountain steppe in Goksun (B6 Kahramanmaras) in SE Anatolia. The species are closely related to A. calvertii, an endemic confined to East Anatolia. Diagnostic morphological characte...
