Fabrication of alumina/polyimide multi-layered material by sputtering and vapor deposition polymerization

The alumina/polyimide multi-layers were fabricated by dry process using sputtering and vapor deposition polymerization. The alumina layer and polyamic acid layer as a polyimide precursor were coated on a Si substrate at room temperature. The layered structure was prepared under the continuous and discontinuous depositions; the former was to evaporate continuously under vacuum, while the latter was to expose in air after each layering process and to form the next layer under vacuum. After alternating deposit...

Fabrication of Al/Al2O3 composites by in-situ powder metallurgy (IPM)
Pournaderi, S.; Mahdavi, S.; Akhlaghi, F. (2012-10-01)
Al6061/Al2O3 composites containing 15-40 vol.% of different-sized (37-276 mu m) alumina particles were produced by in-situ powder metallurgy (IPM). In this method, the stir casting and powder metallurgy (PM) synthesizing processes are combined into an integrated net shape forming process. For the preparation of each powder mixture, alumina particles were added to the molten aluminum alloy, and the resulting slurry was stirred at a specified temperature for a predetermined time. During the stirring process, ...
Fabrication of gallic acid loaded Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose nanofibers by electrospinning technique as active packaging material
Aydogdu, Ayca; Şümnü, Servet Gülüm; Şahin, Serpil (Elsevier BV, 2019-03-15)
The objective of this study was to encapsulate gallic acid in Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)/poly-ethylene oxide (PEO) blend nanofiber by using electrospinning and examine the usage of nanofibers as active packaging materials. Gallic acid loaded nanofibers showed homogenous morphology. Gallic acid was loaded into nanofibers efficiently and nanofibers showed strong antioxidant activity. As the gallic acid amount increased, the TGA curves had shifted one stage to two stage degradation and degradation te...
