The re-analysis of the ROSAT data of Nova Mus 1983 using white dwarf atmosphere emission models
Balman, Şölen; Krautter, J (2001-10-01)
The analyses of X-ray emission from classical novae during the outburst stage have shown that the soft X-ray emission below 1 keV, which is thought to originate from the photosphere of the white dwarf, is inconsistent with the simple blackbody model of emission. Thus, ROSAT Position Sensitive Proportional Counter (PSPC) archival data of the classical Nova Mus 1983 (GQ Mus) have been re-analysed in order to understand the spectral development in the X-ray wavelengths during the outburst stage. The X-ray spec...
The differential production cross section of the phi(1020) meson in root s=7 TeV pp collisions measured with the ATLAS detector
Aad, G.; et. al. (2014-07-01)
A measurement is presented of the phi x BR(phi -> K+ K-) production cross section at root s = 7 TeV using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 383 mu b(-1), collected with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Selection of phi(1020) mesons is based on the identification of charged kaons by their energy loss in the pixel detector. The differential cross section is measured as a function of the transverse momentum, pT, phi, and rapidity, y(phi), of the phi(1020) meson in the fiducial regi...

The ratios of energy losses through photoneutrino process in superstring inspired E-6 model and in the standard model
Aydemir, A; Aydin, C; Sever, Ramazan (2001-03-14)
In general E-6 inspired model which has two additional U(1) symmetries at the string scale whose one combination is a light enough vector boson Z(theta), we compute the contribution of Z(theta) to the gammae(-) --> e(-))over bar>nu scattering at the aim of calculating the energy loss. We find that the two U(1)'s must be combined at 90 degrees to have a significant contribution.
The Weak-Form Efficiency Of Metal Markets Using Stationarity Tests
Kara, Alper; Yıldırım Kasap, Dilem; Tunç, Gül İpek (2019-09-01)
In the paper, quarterly real global prices of aluminum, copper, lead, tin, nickel, zinc, gold, silver and platinum are analyzed by KPSS-type stationarity tests considering sharp (Carrion-i-Silvestre and Sanso, 2007) and smooth breaks (Becker et al., 2006) in order to comment about the weak-form efficiency of selected metal markets. Becker et al. (2006) proposed a stationarity test which did not require any presumptions related to number, type, magnitude and form of structural breaks. This property was p...
