Investigation into Ex-Situ and In-Situ Iodine Doped Plasma Polymerized Fluorene-type Thin Films
Mansuroglu, Dogan; Uzun Kaymak, İlker Ümit (2019-01-01)
Effect of doping is investigated by applying iodine dopant to plasma polymerized fluorene (C13H10)-type thin films utilizing two separate techniques: ex-situ and in-situ doping. In this study, the thin films are produced using a mixture of biphenyl and methane in a capacitively coupled glow plasma system. Produced thin films are characterized using a fourier transform infrared spectrometer, an ultraviolet-visible spectrometer, a scanning electron microscope, and a two-point probe technique of the current - ...
Investigation on Post Cleanings on Modified Surface Using Laser Texturing
Radfar, Behrad; Es, Fırat; Turan, Raşit (2018-09-28)
The surface of crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells can affect their performance as the surface can alter both electrical and optical properties. The c-Si texturing is carried out to increase the absorption; therefore, the optical properties will be enhanced. The anisotropic alkaline etchants are commonly used to form pyramids on the surface of monocrystalline Si wafers. However, this method is not usable for multi-crystalline silicon (mc-Si) because of its grains with random crystallographic orientations...
Investigation on indigenous bacteria for individual BTEX degradation potentials and relative pathways used
Yavaş, Alper; İçgen, Bülent; Parlaktuna, Mahmut; Department of Biotechnology (2018)
Monoaromatic hydrocarbons including benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene collectively called as BTEX are found in the composition of crude oil and gasoline as an additive and thought to be the most serious contaminants of soil and groundwater. It is expected that indigenous bacteria isolated from petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated sites probably have degradation potential for the BTEX compounds. In this study, out of 22, 19 bacterial strains were selected as potential degraders for at least one of the ...
Investigation on pulse trains in electric discharge machining (E.D.M).

Study on thermoluminescence of TlInS2 layered crystals doped with Pr
Delice, S.; IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Elsevier BV, 2018-06-15)
Praseodymium (Pr) doped TlInS2 crystals were studied by means of thermoluminescence (TL) measurements performed below room temperature with various heating rates. Detected TL signal exhibited glow curve consisting in overlapping two TL peaks at temperatures of 35 K (peak A) and 48 K (peak B) for 0.6 K/s heating rate. TL curve was analyzed with curve fitting and initial rise methods. Both of the applied methods resulted in consistent activation energies of 19 and 45 meV. The revealed trap levels were found t...
