A Complete Analysis for Pump Controlled Single Rod Actuators
Çalışkan, Hakan; Balkan, Raif Tuna (null; 2016-03-07)
In the current study a variable speed pump controlled hydrostatic circuit where an underlapped shuttle valve is utilized to compensate the unequal flow rate of a single rod actuator is analyzed. Parameters of the shuttle valve are included in the system analysis, rather than treating it as an ideal switching element as handled in literature. A linearized model of the system is obtained. An inverse kinematic model, which calculates the required pump drive speed for a desired actuator speed and given pilot pr...
A Case study for calculating and reporting the uncertainty budget of 1 and 2 dimensional combined hydraulic model
Gül, Uğraş Sidar; Altan Sakarya, Ayşe Burcu; Department of Civil Engineering (2019)
This study aims to suggest a framework to quantify and report the uncertainty budget of a 1 & 2 dimensional hydraulic model of five possible error sources by using ISO GUM method. The river engineers take into account several considerations when they design the riverbeds; one of the main considerations is the flood protection aspect of the riverbed, to asses that a hydraulic model is usually prepared. However, results generated from the hydraulic models are not exempt from errors. The ISO GUM method provide...

A Detailed Analysis for the Absorption Coefficient of Multilevel Uncooled Infrared Detectors
Küçük, Serhat; Akın, Tayfun (2011-04-29)
This paper introduces a detailed analysis on the calculation of the absorption coefficient of multilevel uncooled infrared detectors. The analysis is carried out considering a two-level 25 mu m pixel pitch infrared detector with a sandwich type resistor which is divided into sub-regions consisting of different stacks of layers. The absorption coefficients of these different sub-regions are calculated individually by using the cascaded transmission line model, including the main body, arms, and the regions w...
