Benzaldehyde lyase catalyzed enantioselective self and cross condensation reactions of acetaldehyde derivatives
Ayhan, Peruze; Turan, Ilke Simsek; Cifci, Burce; Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı (Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), 2011-01-01)
Flexible protected 1,3,4-trihydroxy-2-butanone is synthesized in high enantiomeric excesses by using asymmetric homo- and cross- acyloin coupling of aliphatic aldehydes catalyzed by benzaldehyde lyase.
Benzodithiophene bearing conjugated polymer-based surface anchoring for sensitive electrochemical glucose detection
BULUT, Umut; SAYIN, Vuslat Öykü; Cevher, Sevki Can; Çırpan, Ali; Soylemez, Saniye (2022-10-01)
An amino-functionalized, conjugated polymer (P(BDBT)) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was employed as an immobilization platform for glucose oxidase (GOx) enzyme to assemble a novel glucose biosensor. Amino groups available on the polymer backbone served as bioconjugation sites for GOx via glutaraldehyde (GA). The biosensor response to the reduction in oxygen amount because of the enzyme reaction was monitored at –0.7 V potential versus Ag/AgCl. The biosensor displayed a broad linear range between 0....
Benzoselenadiazole, quinoxaline and thienothiophene based monomers ; electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties
Toksabay, Sinem; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Department of Chemistry (2014)
A new age had been started in macromolecular science with the invention of conducting polymers and they have gained considerable attention due to the their advantages of low cost, high molecular weight, easy fabrication and compability with flexible substrates. It was found that they can be used in many fields, such as organic light emitting diodes, electrochromic materials, organic solar cellsr, organic field effect transistors and sensors . Donor-acceptor phenomenon, which provide the band gap altenation ...
Benzaldehyde Lyase-Catalyzed Direct Amidation of Aldehydes with Nitroso Compounds
Ayhan, Peruze; Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı (Wiley, 2011-03-07)
Benzaldehyde lyase from the Pseudomonas fluorescens catalyzes the reaction of aromatic aldehydes with nitroso compounds and furnishes N-arylhydroxamic acids in high yields. Aromatic aldehydes and benzoins are converted into enamine-carbanion-like intermediates prior to their reaction with nitroso compounds. The kinetic resolution of rac-2-hydroxy-1,2-diphenylethanones furnished (S)-benzoins and arylhydroxamic acids with high enantioselectivities and conversions.
