STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION OF NANO HYDROXYAPATITES DOPED WITH Mg(2+) AND F(-) IONS
Sun, Z. P.; Evis, Zafer (2009-01-23)
Pure and Mg(2+) & F(-) doped nano hydroxyapatites (HA) were synthesized by a precipitation method and sintered at 1100 degrees C to investigate their densification and structure. Different amounts of Mg(2+) and F ions were doped in to HAs. X-ray diffraction was used to identify the presence of phases And lattice parameters of HA and tri-calcium phosphates (TCP) present in the samples. Densification of HA was improved by the addition of these ions. In most of the doped samples, beta-tri-calcium phosphate (TC...
Structural investigation of nanohydroxyapatite doped with Y3+ and F- ions
Basar, B.; Evis, Zafer (Informa UK Limited, 2009-06-01)
Pure and 2.5 mol.-% Y3+ and F- doped nanohydroxyapatites were synthesised by a precipitation method and sintered at 900 and 1100 degrees C to investigate their densification and structure. X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy methods were performed to identify the presence of phases and bonds after the sintering respectively. Densification of hydroxyapatite was improved by the addition of these ions. No second phases were observed by X-ray diffraction method. Structure of the materi...
STRUCTURAL STUDIES OF POLYPYRROLES - OLIGOMERIZATION MECHANISM OF N-METHACRYLOYL PYRROLE
YURTSEVER, E; Toppare, Levent Kamil; HALLENSLEBEN, ML (1993-03-11)
The oligomerization mechanism of N-methacryloyl pyrrole was studied using semiempirical calculations. Starting with the monomer, a large number of dimer, trimer and tetramer structures were optimized. On comparison of alpha-alpha, alpha-beta and beta-beta type pyrrole-pyrrole linkages, it was found that beta-beta type bonding is the most stable form. On average, the introduction of one alpha-type linkage requires about 5 kcal mol-1 of energy.
Structural stability and electronic properties of different cross-sectional unstrained and rectangular cross-sectional strained GaP nanowires
Mohammad, Rezek; Katırcıoğlu, Şenay (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2019-02-10)
The stability and electronic properties of the hexagonal, trigonal and rectangular cross-sectional GaP nanowires in wurtzite (WZ) phase are investigated using full potential linear augmented plane waves method. The rectangular cross-sectional nanowires are found more stable than the hexagonal and trigonal ones. The indirect bandgap structure of the nanowires is transformed into the direct bandgap one at a critical size connected to the geometry of the cross-section. The energy bandgap of the nanowires in th...
Structural characterization of intrinsic a-Si:H thin films for silicon heterojunction solar cells
Pehlivan, O.; Yilmaz, O.; Kodolbas, A. O.; Duygulu, O.; Tomak, Mehmet (2013-01-01)
We have utilized ex-situ spectroscopic ellipsometry and HRTEM to characterize the optical and structural properties of intrinsic a-Si:H thin layer that plays a key role for the improvement of the open circuit voltage in silicon heterojunction solar cells. Intrinsic a-Si:H films were deposited on (100) p-type CZ silicon wafers by using Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) technique at 225 degrees C substrate temperature and deposition time ranges from 15 s to 1800 s. Observed changes in the imag...
