In-Tube Condensation in the presence of air

In-situ generation of poly(n-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)-stabilized palladium(0) and ruthenium(0) nanoclusters as catalysts for hydrogen generation from the methanolysis of ammonia-borane
Erdoğan, Huriye; Özkar, Saim; Department of Chemistry (2010)
More attention has been paid to find new type renewable energy sources because of increasing concern about the environmental problems arising from the combustion of fossil fuels as energy sources. The development of new storage materials will facilitate the use of hydrogen as a major energy carrier. Several possibilities exist for ‘‘solid-state’’ storage: the hydrogen can be trapped in metal organic frameworks, carbon nanotubes and certain alloys; or one can use materials in which hydrogen is already presen...
In-Strip Matching and Reconstruction of Line Segments from UHR Aerial Image Triplets
Ok, Ali Ozgun; Wegner, Jan Dirk; Heipke, Christian; Rottensteiner, Franz; Soergel, Uwe; Toprak, Vedat (2011-10-07)
In this study, we propose a new line matching and reconstruction methodology for aerial image triplets that are acquired within a single strip. The newly developed stereo reconstruction approach gives us better line predictions in the third image which in turn helps to improve the performance of the matching. The redundancy information generated in each stereo match gives us ability to reduce the number of false matches while preserving high levels of matching completeness. The approach is tested over four ...
In-situ synthesis of silver nanoparticles on porous silicon nanostructure through galvanic displacement reaction and its application in construction of glucose screen printed sensor
Allahnouri, Farzad; Farhadi, Khalil; Eskandari, Habibollah; Molaei, Rahim; Abarghoui, Mehdi Mokhtari; Forough, Mehrdad (2018-10-01)
In this work, a new nanocomposite as silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)@ porous silicon (PSi) was synthesised through a simple galvanic displacement reaction between silver ions and silicon in the presence of hydrofluoric acid. The as-prepared nanocomposites were characterised via field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and electrochemical methods. Since the nanocomposite showed ...
In-situ combustion laboratory studies of Turkish heavy oil reservoirs
Bagci, Suat; Kök, Mustafa Verşan (Elsevier BV, 2001-12)
The purpose of this research was to perform dry and wet forward combustion experiments for Turkish heavy oil reservoirs (Raman, Adiyaman and Çamurlu and Bati Kozluca) under different experimental conditions. In the experiments, a vertical tube was packed with crushed limestone and saturated with crude oil and water. It was observed that peak temperatures were higher when stabilized combustion was achieved and decreased as the combustion front approached the outlet end of the tube. In wet combustion experime...
