Correlations between Raman frequency shifts and the thermodynamic quantities close to the melting point in D2O ice
Karacali, H; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Wiley, 2005-11-01)
The Raman frequency shifts (1/v) (partial derivative v/partial derivative T)(T) and (1/v) (partial derivative v/partial derivative P)(T) of the translational mode are correlated to the specific heat C-p and to the thermal expansivity alpha(p), respectively, in D2O ice. Close to the melting point, they correlate linearly, from which the values of the slope dP/dT have been deduced in D2O ice. Our calculated values of dP/dT are in very good agreement with the experimentally obtained value in this crystalline s...
Correlation between total and EDTA/DTPA-extractable trace elements in soil and wheat
Cankur, O; Aras, NK; Olmez, I; Zhang, W; Goodwin, WE; Chatt, A (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1999-12-01)
Wheat and wheat products are more important sources of energy and nutrients in diets of people in many cultures compared to other foods. The daily consumption of wheat is about 200 g/d/person in Western Europe and North America. On the other hand, 400-450 g of wheat and wheat products are consumed daily by average Turkish people. Wheat samples collected from the Iskenderun region in 1995 and 1996 and Ankara and Istanbul regions in 1995 were analyzed for their trace element content by instrumental neutron ac...

Correlation between multiple electric arc furnace operations and unscheduled power flows in the interconnection lines at the eastern cross border of ENTSO-E
Altıntaş, Erinç; Salor Durna, Özgül; Büyükdağlı, Ümit; Çadırcı, Işık; Ermiş, Muammer (null; 2015-10-18)
In this paper, the correlation between unscheduled power flows in the interconnection lines at the eastern cross border of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and multiple electric arc furnace (EAF) operations in Turkey, has been assessed. Turkey is interconnected to ENTSO-E at the eastern cross border via Greece and Bulgaria, with a 400 MW export and a 550 MW import agreement. In order to determine the degree of the relationship between the unscheduled power exch...
