On the production, elemental composition (C, N, P) and distribution of photosynthetic organic matter in the Southern Black Sea
Yilmaz, A; Tuğrul, Süleyman; Polat, Colpan; EDİGER, DİLEK; Coban, Yeşim; MORKOÇ, ENİS (1998-01-01)
Chemical oceanographic understanding of the southern Black Sea has been improved by recent measurements of the optical transparency, phytoplankton biomass (in terms of chlorophyll-a and particulate organic matter) and primary productivity. During the spring-autumn period of 1995-1996, light generally penetrated only into the upper 15-40 m, with an attenuation coefficient varying between 0.125 and 0.350 m(-1). The average chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentrations for the euphotic zone ranged from 0.1 to 1.5 mu g ...
On the Optimization of the Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of Model Ni-Based Superalloys Through the Alloying Effects of Refractory Mo and W Elements
Eriş, Rasim; Akdeniz, Mahmut Vedat; Mehrabov, Amdulla (2022-05-01)
In the design and development of next-generation Ni-based superalloys, the addition of refractory impurity elements not only induces better degree of bonding strengthening, but also helps in maintaining structural stability of the constituent gamma and gamma ' phases. Therefore, in this study, the potential contributions of X = Mo or W atoms to the electronic properties of coherent gamma/gamma ' interfaces as well as their effects on size, volume fraction, and shape features of gamma ' intermetallics in mod...

On the Preparation of Mg2Ni by Combining Electrodeoxidation and Electrolysis Techniques
ERDEN, Fuat; Karakaya, İshak; Erdogan, Metehan (2014-11-01)
Mg2Ni is a well-known hydrogen storage alloy. Most of the preparative methods for this alloy require high temperature processing of pure magnesium and nickel. The proposed method, studied in this work, involves the production of Mg2Ni alloy directly from NiO and MgCl2 in an electrochemical cell. This method can eliminate the difficulties that may arise, during handling due to the reactive nature of metallic components, especially Mg. XRD patterns of reduced samples indicated the partial formation of Mg2Ni. ...
On the electrical and charge conduction properties of thermally evaporated MoOx on n- and p-type crystalline silicon
GÜLNAHAR, MURAT; Nasser, Hisham; Salimi, Arghavan; Turan, Raşit (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2020-11-01)
In this work, the electrical and charge conduction characteristics of a contact structure featuring thermally evaporated MoOx, deposited on n- and p-type crystalline silicon (c-Si), are extensively investigated by room temperature current-voltage (I-V), transmission line measurements (TLM), and temperaturedependent current-voltage measurements (I-V-T). XRD diffraction spectrum shows that the deposited MoOx film exhibits amorphous nature. From TLM measurements, the values of contact resistivity are calculate...
