Evaluation of metabolite variation between acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic myeloidleukemia (CML) cell lines via triple quadrupole LC-MS
Pekşen, Ceren; Özen, Can.; Department of Biotechnology (2019)
Hematologic cancers have two origins: myeloid and lymphoid. While lymphatic leukemia, originate from the lymphoid cell line, acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) originate from the myeloid cell line. CML is granulocyte cancer and in this disease, as well as granulocytes, the number of cells that cause blood clotting, which are called platelets, may increase in the blood. In CML, a non-hereditary genetic abnormality, Philadelphia chromosome, where a structural change occurs in chro...
EVALUATION OF LOW GRADE IRON ORE DEPOSIT IN ERZINCAN-TURKEY FOR IRON ORE PELLET CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION
SİVRİKAYA, OSMAN; Arol, Ali İhsan (2012-01-01)
In this study the separation possibility of gangue minerals from a low grade magnetite ore with 45% Fe from an iron ore deposit located near Erzincan-Turkey was investigated. The iron ore deposit consists of mainly magnetite mineral. Hematite is the second iron oxide found in the deposit. The gangue minerals contain mainly SiO2 and Al2O3 impurities. The main object of the research is to investigate the production of a concentrate suitable for iron ore pellet production. The concentrate for pellet production...
Investigating the effectiveness of argument-based inquiry on 6th grade students’ scientific literacy and portraying their argumentation schemes andengagement in argumentation process
Şen, Mehmet; Sungur, Semra; Öztekin, Ceren; Department of Elementary Education (2021-3-08)
This study examined Argument Based Inquiry impact on 6thgrade students’ scientific literacy including content knowledge, epistemological beliefs, and science process skills and also portrayed students’ argumentation schemes and engagement in argumentation process. Totally, 71 students participated in quantitative part and 35 students participated in qualitative part. Content knowledge tests, epistemological belief questionnaire and science process skill test were used as pre-test an...
IMITATION OF HUMAN BODY POSES BY THE FORMATION CONTROL OF A FLUIDIC SWARM
Tilki, Umut; Erkmen, İsmet; Erkmen, Aydan Müşerref (2012-07-04)
Imitation learning is one of the forms of social learning that enables the human or robot agents to learn new skills. The knowledge acquired for imitation can be basically represented as action mapping based on "organ matching" which determines the correspondence between imitator and imitatee, if the imitator and the demonstrator share the same embodiment. In this paper; we aim at imitation of two system with totally different dynamics, imitating each other, where any correspondence is missing. Towards this...
