Bu üç farklı mekanizma ve piyasa tasarımı çevresi balıkçılık haklarının etkin dağılımı, kamu konutlarının etkin ve adil dağılımı, ve böbrek piyasası için mekanizması tasarımı problemlerini içermektedir. Bu farklı piyasalarda öncelikle günümüzde kullanılan mekanizmalar incelenecek ve bu mekanizmaların sosyal refarı artıracak şekilde geliştirilmeye açık olup olmadıkları matematiksel olarak sorgulanacaktır.
