Determination of genetic diversity in salix caprea populations from the Coruh river watershed
Tokdemir, Yasin; Kaya, Zeki; Department of Biology (2017)
The genus willow (Salicaceae) has around 500 species worldwide, 27 species naturally distributed in Turkey. Goat willow (Salix caprea) is an ecologically important, cold tolerant pioneer species which spreads in Europe and western and central Asia, in the Mediterranean Sea, central Anatolia and Black Sea regions in Turkey. It is also naturally distributed through Coruh river banks. Hydroelectric dam plant dams are being built in these regions which endanger this species. Some of the Salix caprea populations...
Analysis of morphometric variation in housefly (Musca domestica L.) populations distributed in Turkey.
Bilgin, C Can; Department of Biological Sciences (1985)
Determination of morphometric and electrophoretic variation in honey bee (Apis Mellifera L.) populations of Aegean Region of Turkey.

Identification of demographic structure and population viability analysis of Gazella subgutturosa in Şanliurfa
Çobanoğlu, Aziz Emre; Kence, Meral; Department of Biology (2010)
Goitered gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa) is an Asian antelope species and it is classified as Vulnerable by IUCN. They have an economic, esthetic and cultural value; therefore, they had been hunted and domesticated for a long time. Additional human disturbance over years nearly led goitered gazelle populations in Turkey to extinction. Today in Turkey, only natural population of goitered gazelle lives in Şanlurfa. In this theses, demographic structure and population parameters of natural population goitered g...
