Conducting Polymer Composites of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Filled Doped Polyaniline
Yilmaz, Faris; Kucukyavuz, Zuhal (Wiley, 2009-01-15)
A multiwalled carbon nanotube (c-MWNT)/polyaniline (PANI) composite was synthesized by an in situ chemical oxidative polymerization process. With the carbon nanotube loading increased from 0 to 30 wt %,, the conductivity also increased and became weakly temperature-dependent. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy studies showed that the synthesis by an in situ process led to effective site-selective interactions between the quinoid ring of the PANI and the multiwalled nanotubes, facilitating charge-transf...
Conducting fluorine doped tin dioxide (FTO) coatings by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis for heating applications
Süer, Başar; Özenbaş, Ahmet Macit (2021-06-01)
Fluorine doped tin dioxide (FTO) coatings were deposited on AISI 304 stainless steel (SS) substrates using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) technique. Four different candidate insulating intermediate layers of TiO2, MgO, Al2O3 and SiO2 were selected and coated on AISI 304 SS using USP and investigated in order to overcome dielectric breakdown of FTO layer due to conductive nature of stainless steel substrate under the applied voltage. After the optimization of the process parameters for the depositions, onl...
Conducting polymer composites of polythiophene with natural and synthetic rubbers
Yigit, Semih; Hacaloğlu, Jale; Akbulut, Ural; Toppare, Levent Kamil (1996-04-30)
Electrochemical synthesis of conducting polymer composites of polythiophene was achieved. Synthetic and natural rubbers were used as the insulating polymer matrices, FT-IR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) , scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mass spectrometry (MS) were utilized to characterize the composite blends. The conductivity measurements were done by using a standard four-probe technique. The above-mentioned methods show that the resultant composites have different properties compared to ...

Conducting composites of polypyrrole with polytetramethylbisphenol A carbonate
Kalaycioglu, E; Akbulut, Ural; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Wiley, 1996-08-15)
A new conducting composite of polypyrrole (PPy) has been prepared electrochemically where polytetramethylbisphenol. A carbonate is used as the insulating matrix polymer. Characterization of the freestanding films of the composites were based on scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and Fourier transform infrared studies as well as electrical conductivity measurements and solubility. Electrical conductivities were measured by a four-probe technique. Spectroscopic methods, together ...
