EFFECT OF CONCURRENT FEEDBACK AND POSTURAL TASK DIFFICULTY ON POSTURAL CONTROL
TAŞCI, SEDA; Kirazcı, Sadettin; Çelik, Hüseyin; Department of Physical Education and Sports (2022-9)
Studies investigating the effect of concurrent feedback reported inconsistent results, especially on motor tasks with different difficulties. There is also lack of studies examining the effects of concurrent feedback on postural tasks with different difficulties. To fill this gap, this study investigated the effect of concurrent visual feedback (CVF) and postural task difficulty (PTD) on postural control in acquisition and retention phases. Participants were 40 university students who were randomly allocate...

Effect of bilateral somatosensory stimulus on oscillatory brain activity and long term memory
Göktepe, Gizem; Özkurt, Tolga Esat; Department of Medical Informatics (2017)
A psychotherapy treatment called eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is used to elicit traumatic memories in shorter time and decrease its negative effect by using bilateral saccadic eye-movements, auditory and tactile stimuli. As yet, there is no well-accepted result with regard to the effect of bilateral stimuli on long term memory. In this thesis, effect of bilateral somatosensory stimulus on oscillatory brain activity and long term memory was investigated. Accordingly, a novel face reco...
Effect of stress assisted aging on superelastic behavior of a hot-rolled niti shape memory alloy
Sargın, Irmak; Bor, Şakir; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2011)
Effect of stress-assisted aging on stress induced martensitic transformation in hot-rolled Ni-rich 50.7at. Ni%-Ti alloy has been investigated. Alloys are aged freely and under 20 MPa, 100 MPa, and 200 MPa stress at 400 o C for 90 minutes. Aging procedure affected both stress-induced and thermally induced transformation behavior. Superelasticity behavior is correlated with the multistep transformation in aged Ni-rich NiTi alloys and the aging stress level is found to be effective. Relative to the free aged a...
