Multiple drug resistance patterns and plasmid profiles of non-typhi salmonellae in Turkey
Yildirmak, T; Yazgan, A; Özcengiz, Gülay (1998-10-01)
A total of 259 clinical isolates of nonrepetitive non-typhi salmonellae (NTS) were examined for antibiotic resistance patterns and plasmid content. The antibiotics used were amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (AMC), ampicillin (AM), aztreonam (ATM), carbenicillin (CB), cefixime (CFM), cefotaxime (CTX), cefoxitin (FOX), ceftazidime (CAZ), ceftriaxone (CRO), chloramphenicol (C), ciprofloxacin (CIP), gentamicin (GM), imipenem (IPM), ofloxacin (OFX), tetracycline (TE), trimethoprim-sulfomethoxazole (SXT). Multi-drug r...
An LCMSMS method to analyse phenolic profile in the liquid extract, with woodland strawberry (Fragaria vesca l.) application
Şeker, Tamay; TÜRKER, ARZU; Yucel, Meral (2012-09-23)
The most of the bioactive compounds are found in trace amounts so, an efficient extraction procedure from a given tissue is a big problem. An efficient quantitative detection coupled to the extraction procedure is necessary in order to cover the whole phenomena. The increasing dissolution volume of the lyophilized sample may result in dilution of the total content of the phenolics. In choosing the analytical measurement method, the lower sample-enjection volume, the seperate detection of the phenolics havin...

Various durability aspects of slurry infiltrated fiber concrete
Gilani, Adel Mohamed; Tokyay, Mustafa; Department of Civil Engineering (2007)
Slurry infiltrated fiber concrete (SIFCON) was first produced in 1979 in the USA, by incorporating large amounts of steel fiber in molds to form very dense network of fibers. The network is then infiltrated by a fine liquid cement-based slurry or mortar. The steel fiber content can be as high as 30 % by volume. This percentage usually does not exceed 2 % in normal fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) for reasons related to mixing and workability. Due to its high fiber content, SIFCON demonstrates unique and supe...
DIFFERENT INFLUENCES OF 2 FRACTIONS OF LUNG CYTOCHROME-B5 ON RECONSTITUTED LUNG BENZPHETAMINE N-DEMETHYLASE SYSTEM
ARINC, E; Adalı, Orhan; PASHA, RPK; BASARAN, N (1995-10-01)
Chromatography of lung microsomal cytochrome b5 obtained from DEAE-cellulose columns, yielded two distinct cytochrome b5 fractions, These cytochrome b5 fractions were further purified by Sephadex G-100 gel filtration chromatography. The specific cytochrome b5 content of fraction 1 and fraction 2 was found to be 16.5 and 16.4 nmol/mg protein respectively. Both fractions were free of cytochrome P-450, NADPH-cytochrome P-450 reductase and NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase activities. The effects of lung cytochrome ...
