Improvements on hyperspectral classification algorithms
Özdemir, Okan Bilge; Çetin, Yasemin (2013-06-28)
This study investigates the effect of training set selection strategy on classification accuracy of hyperspectral images. This effect is analyzed in conjunction with three other factors, namely the use principal component analysis on the input data, and the use of spatial information and choice of classifier. Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Maximum Likelihood (ML) classifiers are used for demonstration. Meanshift segmentation and majority voting are used for inclusion of spatial information. The effect of...

Optimization of Mesa Structured InGaAs Based Photodiode Arrays
Dolas, M. Halit; Çırçır, Kübra; Kocaman, Serdar (2017-04-13)
We design lattice matched InP/In0.53Ga0.47As mesa structured heterojunction p-n photodiodes with a novel passivation methodology based on a fully depleted thin p-InP layer. Mesa-structured detectors are targeted due to their competitive advantages for applications such as multicolor/hyperspectral imaging. Test detector pixels with different perimeter/area ratios are fabricated with and without etching thin InP passivation layer between pixels in order to comparatively examine passivating behavior. I-V chara...
Improvement on bit diffusion analysis of pi-cipher
Bozdemir, Beyza; Doğanaksoy, Ali; Sulak, Fatih; Department of Cryptography (2016)
Pi -Cipher, a sponge-based algorithm designed by Gligoroski et al., is a second round algorithm of the CAESAR competition. The designers of Pi-Cipher analyzed the bit diffusion of the parts, star operation and 1 round pi -function for all variants of Pi -Cipher. They showed the results with graphics; yet, they did not give any conclusion about these results. We improve this analysis by applying Strict Avalanche Criterion (SAC) Test in the package of Cryptographic Randomness Testing designed by Doğanaksoy ...
