A capacitively coupled radio-frequency plasma discharge is used to improve the surface properties of Polypropylene. The changes in the surfaces are investigated for various plasma discharge parameters. After the plasma modification, the polypropylene material transforms into a para-crystalline form and shows the properties of the monoclinic crystals dominantly, observed using the X-ray diffraction measurements. Four different types of high-density polyethylenes were blended with expanded perlite at different compositions. Gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane was applied to perlite (2 wt%) from ether and water solutions to enhance the interfacial adhesion between the polymer and the filler. It was shown that silane treatment advances the yield stress with improving dispersion and increasing the interfacial adhesion of the filler with the polymer matrix. We investigate the possibility that the process of p(0)-meson photoproduction on proton, gamma+p --> p+p(0), in the near threshold region E-gamma pp(0))/dt, which has been measured by SAPHIR Collaboration. We find that the suggested model provides a good description of the experimental data with new values of pNN-coupling constants in the region of the time-like p(0)-meson momentum.
