The electrical resistivity of liquid Al−Mg and Al−Cu alloys is calculated using both the Faber-Ziman and «2k F» scattering theories. The partial structure factors are described by the hard-sphere system. The calculated resistivity values are in qualitative agreement with available experimental data.
Electrical resistivities of liquid Li-Sn and Na-Pb alloys

The resistivity of liquid Li-Sn and Na-Pb alloys is calculated using the theory of ‘‘2 k F ’’ scattering theory recently developed by Morgan et al. The partial structure factors are described by the mean-spherical approximation for a system of hard spheres with Yukawa tails. The calculated resistivity values are in very good agreement with experiment. The improvement over the widely used Faber-Ziman formalism is impressive.

Conducting polymer composites of polypyrrole and polyimide

A conducting composite of polypyrrole with a polyimide as the insulating matrix polymer was prepared via electrochemical methods. The characterization of the composite was done by FTIR, SEM and TGA studies. Conductivity and solubility studies together with spectroscopic methods reveal that a chemical interaction between the two polymers exists.
Electrical characterization of vacuum-deposited n-CdS/p-CdTe heterojunction devices

The effects of post-deposition processes such as CdCl2 dip and/or annealing in air on the material and device properties of vacuum-evaporated Au-CdTe/CdS-TO heterojunction solar cells have been investigated. The CdCl2 dip followed by air annealing at 300 degrees C for 5 min improved the device efficiency significantly, resulting in decreased CdTe resistivity and enhanced grain size.
