The purpose of this study is to determine anger expression and the relationship between individual/familial characteristics and anger expression among adolescents 16-18 years of age. Method: The study was planned as a descriptive-correlational study. The universe of the research is 905 seniors continuing high school education in Istanbul and the samples of the research is chosen which are 158 girls and 118 boys total of 276 seniors adolescents of 16-18 years of age. A Demographic Questionnaire and Anger Expression Inventory have been used for collecting data. In addition, measured weight and height measurements have been noted to the information form for determination of body mass index of adolescents. Results: Anger expression score 23.24 ± 5.72; anger-in score 15.42 ± 3.78; anger-out score 17.70 ± 4.55 and anger-control score 19.39 ± 4.53 have been found of students. In addition, anger-in increases have been determined when students' health problems to be affected and body mass index increased . Conclusion: Anger is one of the important emotional reactions in adolescents. In the study, anger control of adolescent is higher. Therefore, planning initiatives of anger expresssion is important by school health staffs.
