Leading twist light cone distrubution amplitudes of P-wave heavy quarkonia and their couplings to pseudoscalar and vector mesons
Olpak, Mehmet Ali; Özpineci, Altuğ; Department of Physics (2016)
The problem analyzed in this work is the calculation of the coupling of L = 1 axial-vector heavy quarkonia to vector and pseudo-scalar open flavor mesons. Calculations are based on light-cone QCD sum rules, with inputs from indepen- dently performed quark model calculations for the analysis of radially excited states. Those couplings are of interest for being inputs for effective theory calcu- lations on the quark content and transitions of axial-vector Xc/b mesons. Results involve profiles for the light-co...
Leading logarithmic QCD corrections to the B-s ->gamma gamma decays in the two-Higgs doublet model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Iltan, EO (1998-03-30)
We calculate the leading logarithmic QCD corrections to the decay B-s --> gamma gamma in the two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) including O-7-type long-distance effects and estimate the restrictions of the 2HDM parameters, tan beta and m(H), using the experimental data of B --> X-s gamma decay provided by the CLEO Collaboration. A lower bound for the charged Higgs mass m(H) as a function of the renormalization scale mu is given for 2HDM model II. We further present the dependencies of the branching ratio Br(B-s...

Cyclic crack growth behaviour of two nickel base turbine disc alloys
Arslan, G; Doruk, M (1998-05-15)
The high temperature fatigue crack growth behaviour of the nickel base superalloys Alloy 718 and Rene 95 (specimen thickness = 4.1 mm) were investigated and compared with each other. Fatigue crack propagation (FCP) tests were carried out in laboratory air at room temperature and 600 degrees C by using C-T (compact tension) type specimen that were fatigue precracked at room temperature.
Standing wave acoustic levitation on an annular plate
Kandemir, Mehmet Hakan; Çalışkan, Mehmet (2016-11-10)
In standing wave acoustic levitation technique, a standing wave is formed between a source and a reflector. Particles can be attracted towards pressure nodes in standing waves owing to a spring action through which particles can be suspended in air. This operation can be performed on continuous structures as well as in several numbers of axes. In this study an annular acoustic levitation arrangement is introduced. Design features of the arrangement are discussed in detail. Bending modes of the annular plate...
