Multinucleon transfer in Ni-58+Ni-60 and Ni-60+Ni-60 in a stochastic mean-field approach
Yilmaz, B.; Ayik, S.; Yılmaz, Osman; Umar, A. S. (2018-09-07)
The multinucleon exchange mechanism in Ni-58 + Ni-60 and Ni-60 + Ni-60 collisions is analyzed in the framework of the stochastic mean-field approach. The results of calculations are compared with the time-dependent random-phase approximation (TDRPA) calculations and the recent data of Ni-58 + Ni-60. A good description of the data and a relatively good agreement with the TDRPA calculations are found.
Multinucleon transfer mechanism in Cf 250 + Th 232 collisions using the quantal transport description based on the stochastic mean-field approach
Ayik, S.; Arık, Mert; Yılmaz, Osman; YILMAZ, BÜLENT; Umar, A.S. (2023-01-01)
Production cross sections of heavy neutron-rich isotopes are calculated by employing quantal transport description in Cf250+Th232 collisions. This quantal transport description is based on the stochastic mean-field approach, and it provides a microscopic approach beyond time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory to include mean-field fluctuations. Deexcitation of primary fragments is determined by employing the statistical GEMINI++ code. Calculations provide predictions for production cross sections of neutron rich...
Multinucleon transfer in central collisions of U-238+U-238
Ayik, S.; YILMAZ, BÜLENT; YILMAZ TÜZÜN, ÖZGÜL; Umar, A. S.; Turan, Gürsevil (2017-08-14)
Quantal diffusion mechanism of nucleon exchange is studied in the central collisions of U-238 + U-238 in the framework of the stochastic mean-field (SMF) approach. For bombarding energies considered in this work, the dinuclear structure is maintained during the collision. Hence, it is possible to describe nucleon exchange as a diffusion process for mass and charge asymmetry. Quantal neutron and proton diffusion coefficients, including memory effects, are extracted from the SMF approach and the primary fragm...
Multiparticle correlations and higher order harmonics in pPb collisions at root s(NN)=8.16 TeV
Wang, Quan; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2019-02-01)
The elliptic and higher-order azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics (v(n)) are obtained for pPb collisions at root s(NN) = 8.16 TeV over a wide range of event multiplicities based on multiparticle correlations. The data were collected by the CMS experiment during the 2016 LHC run. A sample of peripheral PbPb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV covering a similar range of event multiplicities to the pPb results is also analyzed for comparison. The ratios of different harmonic moments are obtained for both v...
Multidimensional quantum tunneling in the Schwinger effect
Dumlu, Cesim K. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-03-22)
We study the Schwinger effect, in which the external field having a spatiotemporal profile creates electron-positron pairs via multidimensional quantum tunneling. Our treatment is based on the trace formula for the QED effective action, whose imaginary part is represented by a sum over complex worldline solutions. The worldlines are multiperiodic, and the periods of motion collectively depend on the strength of spatial and temporal inhomogeneity. We argue that the classical action that leads to the correct ...
