Youth Unemployment Duration in Turkey

This study analyzes the determinants of unemployment duration for youth in Turkey. We use the individual level data obtained from the Household Labor Force Surveys of 2000 and 2001 to construct the duration of unemployment. The analyses are carried out by using both non-parametric and semi-parametric methods for men and women separately. In the semi-parametric part we employ the group duration method.
