The thermal gradient history of the Thrace Basin, NW Turkey: Correlation with basin evolution processes
Huvaz, O.; Karahanoğlu, Nurkan; Ediger, V. S. (Wiley, 2007-01-01)
Thermal maturity modelling is widely used in basin modelling to help assess the exploration risk. Of the calibration algorithms available, the Easy%Ro model has gained wide acceptance. In this study, thermal gradients at 70 wells in the Thrace Basin, NW Turkey, were calibrated against vitrinite reflectance (%Ro) using the Easy%Ro model combined with an inverse scheme. The mean squared residual (MSR) was used as a quantitative measure of mismatch between the modelled and measured %Ro. A 90% confidence interv...

The complex dynamics of the cardiovascular system
Akhmet, Marat (2009-12-15)
In our paper, we consider the dynamics of blood pressure, initiated in [M.U. Akhmet, G.A. Bekmukhambetova, A prototype compartmental model of blood pressure distribution, Nonlinear Anal. RWA (in press)], concentrating on the interaction between systemic arterial pressure and periphery blood pressure. A system of impulsive differential equations is applied as a model. The main result of the present paper is the existence of Devaney's chaos ingredients: sensitivity of solutions, transitivity, and existence of...
