Aging Slows Access to Temporal Information From Working Memory
Kılıç Özhan, Aslı; Oztekin, Ilke (Oxford University Press (OUP), 2017-11-01)
To evaluate the impact of aging on controlled memory search operations, we investigated the retrieval of temporal order information from working memory (WM).

Aging mother-adult daughter relationship : solidarity, conflict, ambivalence, typology and variations in time
Mottram (Alıçlı), Sanem; Hortaçsu, Nuran; Department of Psychology (2003)
Using qualitative analysis, this thesis analyzes intergenerational support, conflict, and ambivalence between aging mothers and their middle aged adult daughters. In-depth interviews with 30 mother-daughter pairs explored respondents̕ relationship history, changes in the relationship over the life course (childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, marriage of daughter, parenthood of daughter, widowhood of mother), social network composition, frequency of contact, expectations, type and frequency of intergener...
Age-Optimal Updates of Multiple Information Flows
Sun, Yin; Uysal, Elif; Kompella, Sastry (2018-04-19)
In this paper, we study an age of information minimization problem, where multiple flows of update packets are sent over multiple servers to their destinations. Two online scheduling policies are proposed. When the packet generation and arrival times are synchronized across the flows, the proposed policies are shown to be (near) optimal for minimizing any time-dependent, symmetric, and non-decreasing penalty function of the ages of the flows over time in a stochastic ordering sense.
