Coaxial silver nanowire network core molybdenum oxide shell supercapacitor electrodes
Yuksel, Recep; Coskun, Sahin; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah (Elsevier BV, 2016-03-01)
We present a new hybrid material composed of molybdenum (IV) oxide (MoO2) shell on highly conducting silver nanowire (Ag NW) core in the network form for the realization of coaxial Ag NW/MoO2 nanocomposite supercapacitor electrodes. Ag NWs were simply spray coated onto glass substrates to form conductive networks and conformal MoO2 layer was electrodeposited onto the Ag NW network to create binder-free coaxial supercapacitor electrodes. Combination of Ag NWs and pseudocapacitive MoO2 generated an enhanced e...
Dual polarized slotted waveguide array antenna
Doğan, Doğanay; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2011)
An X band dual polarized slotted waveguide antenna array is designed with very high polarization purity for both horizontal and vertical polarizations. Horizontally polarized radiators are designed using a novel non-inclined edge wall slots whereas the vertically polarized slots are implemented using broad wall slots opened on baffled single ridge rectangular waveguides. Electromagnetic model based on an infinite array unit cell approach is introduced to characterize the slots used in the array. 20 by 10 el...
Reconfigurable slot antenna with fixed-fixed beam type RF MEMS capacitors
Erdil, Emre; Topallı, Kağan; Ünlü, Mehmet; İstanbulluoğlu, İpek; Temoçin, Engin Ufuk; Atasoy, Halil İbrahim; Bayraktar, Ömer; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem; Demir, Şimşek; Koç, Seyit Sencer; Akın, Tayfun (2006-11-06)
This paper presents a reconfigurable dual-frequency rectangular slot antenna using MEMS technology. MEMS fixed-fixed beam type capacitors loading the antenna are actuated electrostatically to change the equivalent capacitance of the antenna which provides shift in the resonant frequencies. The measurement results show very good agreement with the simulation results and the resonant frequencies are shifted 1 GHz and 350 MHz continuously at around 8.5 GHz and 10.5 GHz, respectively.
Miniaturized Virtual Array Dual Band Loop Quasi - Yagi Antenna Design for 5G Application
Celik, F. T.; Karacuha, K. (2019-01-01)
In this paper, numerical and experimental analyses of both dual band loop Quasi - Yagi Antenna and miniaturized virtual array of the same structure are studied. These both design operates at free band (2.4-2.48 GHz) and planned 5G mobile communication band (3.4-3.8 GHz). Here, by introducing the virtual array concept, comparison between single element and the array structure are done. Proposed design is validated by High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and also measurements for each antennas are carrie...
Nonplanar trapezoidal tooth log-periodic antennas: Design and electromagnetic modeling
Ergül, Özgür Salih (American Geophysical Union (AGU), 2005-10-18)
Nonplanar trapezoidal tooth log-periodic (LP) antennas are investigated by combining the wisdom of theoretical design procedures with the power of accurate numerical simulation environments. Once the theoretical design is completed, electromagnetic simulations employing accurate integral equation solvers are utilized to test and correct the original design. A two-element array of trapezoidal tooth LP antennas is designed. The array features beam-steering ability as a novelty, in addition to frequency indepe...
