Dark Personality and Road Crashes: Mediating Role of Driver Vengeance and Violations.
Sümer, Nebi; Tümer, Bahar; Ergin, Uluğhan; Şahin, Seda Merve (2019-06-24)
Aggressive driving and road rage are increasingly leading to Motor Vehicle Collisions (MVC), especially in the developing countries. Considering that malevolent personality characteristics, such as dark triad (narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy) create a tendency for vengeful and aggressive driving, we examined the power of personality variables in predicting MVC. Specifically, using Contextual Mediated Model (Sümer, 2003), we tested a double mediation model in which driving anger and venge...

Dark electrical conductivity and photoconductivity of Ga(4)Se(3)S layered single crystals
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2008-11-01)
Ga(4)Se(3)S layered crystals were studied through the dark electrical conductivity, and illumination- and temperature-dependent photoconductivity in the temperature region of 100-350 K. The dark electrical conductivity reflected the existence of two energy states located at 3 10 and 60 meV being dominant above and below 170 K, respectively. The photoconductivity measurements revealed the existence of another two energy levels located at 209 and 91 meV above and below 230 K. The photoconductivity was observe...
Shadow Education from Shadows to the Light: Case of Basic High Schools in Turkey
Tasti, Ozlem Yildirim; Engin Demir, Cennet (2022-1-01)
This study situates how shadow education has become more visible in Turkey after an educational policy change in 2014 that regulated the closure of private tutoring centers ???dershanes- and their transformation into a new type of private school called Basic High School -Temel Lise. In this multiple-case study, we interviewed school stakeholders and observed various processes such as classes and recitation hours at five Basic High Schools in Ankara, Turkey.
