Comparison of crystallinities of high density polyethylene determined by different techniques
Akovali, G; Atalay, A (Elsevier BV, 1997-01-01)
The differences in the crystallinities of HDPE samples conditioned by three different procedures with different cooling rates were followed by use of FTIR, DSC and X-ray scattering techniques. From FTIR, relative values of crystallinities are obtained and if absolute values obtained from DSC and X-ray scattering are compared, the latter yielded higher values. All three groups of results showed the expected trend of increase of crystallinities with decrease of rate of cooling. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
Comparison of method of lines and finite difference solutions of 2-D Navier-Stokes equations for transient laminar pipe flow
Selçuk, Nevin; Tanrikulu, S (2002-03-10)
Performances of method of lines (MOL) and finite difference method (FDM) were tested from the viewpoints of solution accuracy and central processing unit (CPU) time by applying them to the solution of time-dependent 2-D Navier-Stokes equations for transient laminar flow without/with sudden expansion and comparing their results with steady-state numerical predictions and measurements previously reported in the literature. Predictions of both methods were obtained on the same computer by using the same order ...
Comparison of different methods on the enrichment of Konya Inlice epithermal gold ores
Döğme, Ayşe Nur (2020-01-01)
In this study, firstly, enrichment experiments were carried out on the epithermal gold ore belonging to the Konya-Inlice region containing 2.38 ppm Au-containing oxide type ore and 1.39 ppm Au-containing sulfur ore with using Falcon device as a gravity enrichment method. In these group experiments, the effects of parameters such as centrifugal force, bowl type effect, and a solid ration of feeding were investigated. As the second enrichment method, the conventional flotation technique was applied. In these ...
