Alkyl-end phenanthroimidazole modification of benzotriazole based conjugated polymers for optoelectronic applications
Cevher, Şevki Can; Keles, Duygu; Hızalan, Gonul; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Çırpan, Ali (2018-10-01)
A new triazoloquinoxaline and benzodithiophene based copolymer was synthesized to investigate its electrochemical, optical and photovoltaic behaviors. According to the polymer design, combination of two acceptor units (benzotriazole and quinoxaline) which contribute imine bonds to the structure and a triazoloquinoxaline unit for enhancing electron accepting ability was pursued. As a result of electrochemical studies, the copolymer PTQBDT has a low lying HOMO energy level as −5.23 eV which increases the chem...
Alginate/gelatin/boron-doped hydroxyapatite-coated Ti implants: in vitro and in vivo evaluation of osseointegration
Pazarçeviren, Ahmet Engin; Evis, Zafer; Dikmen, Tayfun; Altunbaş, Korhan; Yaprakçı, Mustafa V.; Keskin, Dilek; Tezcaner, Ayşen (2023-01-01)
In this study, boron-doped hydroxyapatite (BHT)-loaded alginate/gelatin-based (A/G) hydrogel coating on Ti was fabricated to support bone integration through triggering osteoinduction, vascularization and immunomodulation. Initially, highly reproducible, cheap and time-effective BHT was produced, which significantly promoted higher osteogenic and angiogenic maturation, while a mild innate immune response was observed. The immense potential of BHT was evidenced by the production of a gap-filling A/G/BHT inte...
Alkyl end group Modification of Benzotriazole and Thiophene Containing Conjugated Polymers
Cevher, Şevki Can; Keleş, Duygu; Özdemir Hacıoğlu, Şerife; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Çırpan, Ali (null; 2016-07-21)
This study focused on modifying the alkyl‐end‐group of benzotriazole and thiophene containing conjugated polymers. Introducing a moiety with struc‐turally rigid and tendency to enhance the π‐π stacking and also absorption in the high energetic region, influence the both electronic and optic properties of the conjugated polymers. Stille cross coupling chemical polymerization method was performed to synthesize the polymer contains: benzotriazole and bisthiophene. Characterizations of polymers were done in ter...
Ascorbic acid as a dispersant for concentrated alumina nanopowder suspensions
Çınar, Simge (Elsevier BV, 2014-08-01)
The stabilization of concentrated nanopowder suspensions is crucial for many industrial applications. Yet, controlling the suspension viscosity is challenging for nanopowder suspension systems. In this study, we examined the adsorption of L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) on alumina surfaces and the related reduction in viscosity of the suspensions. Interactions between the ascorbic acid and the alumina surface were investigated by in situ ATR-FTIR and zeta potential measurements. It was shown that ascorbic acid ...
ALD grown AZO contacts for AlGaN/GaN HEMT Device Applications
Cakmak, Huseyin; Tugrul, Deniz; Esen, Hulya; Yilmaz, Dogan; Özbay, Ekmel; İmer, Muhsine Bilge (2020-10-04)
GaN-based high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) is a promising candidate for high-power and high-frequency applications due to it unique material properties. A low contact resistance (Rc) is curicial for the device performance including output power, high-efficiency, high-frequency and noise performances. Ti-based low-resistance ohmic contacts in AlGaN/GaN HEMT devices require high-temperature annealing (>800 oC) which can deteriorate material quality, surface morphology, and edge acuity of the metal ...
