On the elliptic curves y(2)=x(3)-c with embedding degree one
Kirlar, Baris Bulent (Elsevier BV, 2011-06-15)
In this paper, we give a family of elliptic curves E in the form y(2) = x(3) - c over the prime field F-p with embedding degree k = 1. This was carried out by computing the explicit formula of the number of points #E(F-p) of the elliptic curve y(2) = x(3) - c. Using this computation, we show that the elliptic curve y(2) = x(3) - 1 over F-p for the primes p of the form 27A(2) + 1 has an embedding degree k = 1. Finally, we give examples of those primes p for which the security level of the pairing-based crypt...
On finite groups admitting a fixed point free abelian operator group whose order is a product of three primes
Mut Sağdıçoğlu, Öznur; Ercan, Gülin; Department of Mathematics (2009)
A long-standing conjecture states that if A is a finite group acting fixed point freely on a finite solvable group G of order coprime to jAj, then the Fitting length of G is bounded by the length of the longest chain of subgroups of A. If A is nilpotent, it is expected that the conjecture is true without the coprimeness condition. We prove that the conjecture without the coprimeness condition is true when A is a cyclic group whose order is a product of three primes which are coprime to 6 and the Sylow 2-sub...

ON STEIN MANIFOLDS M FOR WHICH O(M) IS ISOMORPHIC TO O(DELTA-N) AS FRECHET SPACES
Aytuna, Aydın (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1988-9)
We give a characterization of Stein manifolds M for which the space of analytic functions,O(M), is isomorphic as Fréchet spaces to the space of analytic functions on a polydisc interms of the existence of a plurisubharmonic function on M with certain properties. We discuss some corollaries of this result and give some examples.
On the finite perimeter sets of sub-Lorentzian metric spaces
Çetin, Günseli; Sarıoğlu, Bahtiyar Özgür; Department of Physics (2022-8-25)
In this thesis, inspired by the recent progress on sub-Riemannian geometry, a method of determining the finite perimeter sets of sub-Lorentzian manifolds independent of the original metric structure is suggested and a possible version of Riesz Representation theorem is discussed.
