Influence of the High Tc Superconducting Particles Orientation During Semi-Wet Extrusion on the Critical Current Anisotropy
Özkan, Necati (1990-07-02)
A semi-wet extrusion process was used for the formation of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x wires. Investigation of the correlation between the extrusion parameters and the particles shape and size, make it possible to define the preferred alignment of particles in the conductor. Influence of the post-thermal anneal on the microstructure and critical current anistropy was presented and discussed.
Influence of layer on the electrical properties of Au/n-4H SiC diodes
Yigiterol, Fatih; Güllü, Hasan Hüseyin; YILDIZ, DİLBER ESRA (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2018-06-01)
In this study, the effect of insulator layer on the electrical characteristics of Au/n-4H SiC diode was investigated. The current-voltage (), capacitance-voltage () and conductance-voltage () measurements were carried out at room temperature condition. Under thermionic emission model, electrical parameters as zero-bias barrier height (), ideality factor (n), interface states (), and series () and shunt () resistances were estimated from forward bias analyses. The values of n and were about 1.305 and 0.796 e...
Influence of TiO2 Content on the Photocatalytic Activity of TiO2 B2O3 Glasses Prepared by the Sol gel Process
Akkuş, Sıtkı Can; Kalem, Volkan; Park, Jongee; Öztürk, Abdullah (2016-12-01)
A series of binary (1-x)TiO2 xB2O3 glasses with TiO2 content up to 80 mol% were prepared by the sol-gel technique using titanium tetraisopropoxide (C12H28O4Ti) and boric acid (H3BO3) precursors. Effects of initial precursor amount, and calcination temperature and time on the formation and photocatalytic properties of the glasses were investigated. The optimum amount of TiO2 was researched to get a glass possessing self-cleaning ability. The photocatalytic performance of the glasses was evaluated by the deco...
Influence of bound water layer on the viscosity of oxide nanopowder suspensions
Çınar, Simge; Akınç, Müfit (2015-01-01)
Nanopowder suspensions exhibit much higher viscosities compared to micron size powders. The current viscosity models greatly underestimate the viscosity of nanopowder suspensions and hence are inaccurate. Recently, it was shown that a bound water layer around the particles is partially responsible for the high viscosities of alumina nanopowder suspensions. In the present study, the existence and effect of the bound water layer on suspension viscosity has been validated for other oxide systems such as zircon...
Influence of particle size of glass powder on the crystallisation kinetic parameters of a fluorophosphate glass
Ozturk, A (2000-04-01)
Crystallisation behaviour of a fluorophosphate glass composed of the system AIF(3)-CaF2-Mg-2-Sr-2- BaF2-Ba(PO3)(2) was studied at nonisothermal conditions using differential thermal analysis (DTA). Kinetic parameters for crystallisation, namely, the activation energy, E, frequency factor; upsilon, and Avrami exponent, n, were determined as a function of the particle size of the glass powder and different furnace atmosphere. Also the Effect of flow rate of nitrogen gas on the crystallisation behaviour was st...
