Thermoelectric polymer films with a significantly high Seebeck coefficient and thermoelectric power factor obtained through surface energy filtering
Guan, Xin; Yıldırım, Erol; Fan, Zeng; Lu, Wanheng; Li, Bichen; Zeng, Kaiyang; Yang, Shuo-Wang; Ouyang, Jianyong (Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), 2020-07-01)
Thermoelectric (TE) polymers have unique advantages in converting heat into electricity. But their Seebeck coefficient is lower than that of inorganic TE materials by about one order of magnitude. Here, surface energy filtering is proposed to significantly enhance the Seebeck coefficient of TE polymers. The as-prepared poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS, the most popular TE polymer) films from aqueous solution have a low Seebeck coefficient of 15-18 mu V K(-1)and a power fact...
Thermoluminescence characteristics of GaSe and Ga2Se3 single crystals
Isik, M.; SARIGÜL, NESLİHAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2022-06-01)
GaSe and Ga2Se3 are semiconducting compounds formed from same constituent elements. These compounds have been attractive due to their optoelectronic and photovoltaic applications. Defects take remarkable attention since they affect quality of semiconductor devices. In the present paper, deep defect centers in GaSe and Ga2Se3 single crystals grown by Bridgman method were reported from the analyses of thermoluminescence measurements performed in the 350–675 K range. Experimental TL curves of GaSe and Ga2Se3 s...
Thermodynamical and mechanical properties of Pd-Ag alloys
Kart, HH; Tomak, Mehmet; Uludogan, M; Cagin, T (2005-01-01)
The mechanical and thermodynamical properties of Pd, Ag pure metals and especially PdxAg1-x alloys are studied by using the molecular dynamics simulation. The effects of temperature and concentration on the physical properties of PdxAg1-x are analyzed. Sutton-Chen (SC) and quantum Sutton-Chen (Q-SC) many-body potentials are used as interatomic interactions which enable one to investigate the thermodynamic, static, and dynamical properties of transition metals. The calculated results such as cohesive energy,...
Thermoluminescence properties and trapping parameters of TlGaS2 single crystals
Delice, S.; Isik, M.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2022-04-01)
TlGaS2 layered single crystals have been an attractive research interest due to their convertible characteristics into 2D structure. In the present paper, structural, optical and thermoluminescence properties of TlGaS2 single crystals were investigated. XRD pattern of the crystal presented five well-defined peaks associated with monoclinic unit cell. Band gap and Urbach energies were found to be 2.57 and 0.25 eV, respectively, from the analyses of transmittance spectrum. Thermoluminescence measurements were...
Thermodynamic properties of SnO in SnO TiO2 melts
Karakaya, İshak (1983-01-01)
Oxygen concentration cells employing zirconia-calcia solid electrolytes were used to measure the thermodynamic properties of SnO in SnO-TiO2 melts and to redetermine the properties of pure-SnO and SnO2. Deviations from ideality in the melts were interpreted in terms of the existence of orthotitanate anions.
