Multiphonon absorption processes in layered structured TlGaS2, TlInS2 and TlGaSe2 single crystals
IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı; KORKMAZ ÖZKAN, FİLİZ (Elsevier BV, 2013-07-15)
The infrared transmittance and Raman scattering spectra in TlGaS2, TlInS2 and TlGaSe2 layered single crystals grown by Bridgman method were studied in the frequency ranges of 400-1500 and 10-400 cm(-1), respectively. Three, three and five bands observed at room temperature in IR transmittance spectra of TlGaS2, TlInS2 and TlGaSe2, respectively, were interpreted in terms of multiphonon absorption processes. Covalent immobilization of chloroperoxidase onto magnetic beads: Catalytic properties and stability
Bayramoglu, Guelay; Kiralp, Senem; Yilmaz, Meltem; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Arica, M. Yakup (Elsevier BV, 2008-02-15)
Amino groups containing magnetic beads were used in covalent immobilization of the enzyme "chloroperoxidase (CPO)" which is one of a few enzymes that can catalyse the peroxide dependent oxidation of a wide spectrum of organic and inorganic compounds. The magnetic poly(glycidylmethacrylate-methylmethacrylate-etbyleneglycol dimethacrylate), magnetic p(GMA-MMA-EGDMA) beads were prepared via suspension polymerization in the presence of ferric ions. The magnetic beads were characterized with scanning electron mi...
Multiplicity and rapidity dependence of strange hadron production in pp, pPb, and PbPb collisions at the LHC
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2017-05-01)
Measurements of strange hadron (K-S(0), Lambda +(Lambda) over bar, and Xi(-)+(Xi) over bar (+)) transverse momentum spectra in pp, pPb, and PbPb collisions are presented over a wide range of rapidity and event charged-particle multiplicity. The data were collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in pp collisions at root s= 7 TeV, pPb collisions at root(NN)-N-s= 5.02 TeV, and PbPb collisions at root(NN)-N-s = 2.76 TeV. The average transverse kinetic energy is found to increase with multiplicity, at a f...
Covalent Dimers of 1,3-Diphenylisobenzofuran for Singlet Fission: Synthesis and Electrochemistry
Akdağ, Akın; Beran, Pavel; Rulisek, Lubomir; Dron, Paul I.; Ludvik, Jiri; Michl, Josef (2015-01-01)
The synthesis of covalent dimers in which two 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran units are connected through one phenyl substituent on each is reported. In three of the dimers, the subunits are linked directly, and in three others, they are linked via an alkane chain. A seventh new compound in which two 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran units share a phenyl substituent is also described. These materials are needed for investigations of the singlet fission process, which promises to increase the efficiency of solar cells. Th...
