A generalized fixed point free automorphism of prime power order Ercan, Gülin (2012-06-01) Let G be a finite group and alpha be an automorphism of G of order p(n) for an odd prime p. Suppose that alpha acts fixed point freely on every alpha-invariant p'-section of G, and acts trivially or exceptionally on every elementary abelian alpha-invariant p-section of G. It is proved that G is a solvable p-nilpotent group of nilpotent length at most n + 1, and this bound is best possible.

The proof utilizes a result on the Conley-Zehnder index of a periodic orbit of the flow of a specifically constructed Floer Hamiltonian and an index relation.
An infinite family of strongly real Beauville p-groups Gul, Sukran (2018-04-01) We give an infinite family of non-abelian strongly real Beauville p-groups for every prime p by considering the quotients of triangle groups, and indeed we prove that there are non-abelian strongly real Beauville p-groups of order for every or 7 according as or or . This shows that there are strongly real Beauville p-groups exactly for the same orders for which there exist Beauville p-groups.
A RECURRENCE RELATION FOR BERNOULLI NUMBERS Küçüksakallı, Ömer (2013-08-01) Inspired by a result of Saalschutz, we prove a recurrence relation for Bernoulli numbers. This recurrence relation has an interesting connection with real cyclotomic fields.
