Metal-assisted nano-textured solar cells with SiO2/Si3N4 passivation

We demonstrate the fabrication of nano-sized surface textured crystalline silicon by a metal-assisted electroless etching method with nitric acid added as the hole injection agent. This method generates randomly shaped cone-like structures that offer a clear advantage over nanowires by enabling straightforward passivation with standard techniques. Average reflection values as low as 3% have been achieved. Optimizing the thickness of anti-reflective coatings, the doping depth and the screen-printed metal fir...
Metal Oxides Supported Cobalt nanoparticles: Active Electrocatalysts for Oxygen Evolution Reaction
Önal, Ahmet Muhtar; Akbayrak, Merve (2021-08-01)
Besides precious metal oxides, non-noble metal oxides are found to be promising materials especially, in the alkaline medium for OER. In this work, Co/MO 2 (M = Ti, Zr, and Ce) catalysts were synthesized with- out using any harsh steps such as pyrolization, annealing, calcination, and carbonization. Cobalt nanopar- ticles with ∼2.6 nm particle size were loaded on metal oxides by simple impregnation and reduction method. Considering the low onset and overpotential values, low Tafel slopes, high exchange curr...

AElectroplating onto polymeric materials is required for different purposes in various applications. Commercial polyurethanes (PU) are electrically insulator materials and durable at high temperatures. Nevertheless, the PU used in this study has high electrical conductivity, a low thermal expansion coefficient and is a high density foam. In this work, surface metallization of PU foam was studied to prepare the surface for a subsequent electroplating process. The surface metallization was carried out by sens...
