Probing the Oxygen Reduction Reaction Active Sites over Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Nanostructures (CNx) in Acidic Media Using Phosphate Anion
Mamtani, Kuldeep; Jain, Deeksha; Zemlyanov, Dmitry; Çelik, Gökhan; Luthman, Jennifer; Renkes, Gordon; Co, Anne C.; Ozkan, Umit S. (2016-10-07)
To probe the active sites of nitrogen-doped carbon nanostructures (CN), the effect of dihydrogen phosphate (H2PO4-) anion on their oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance was investigated by adding increasing concentrations of phosphoric acid in half-cell measurements. A linear decrease in specific kinetic current at 0.7 V was noted with increasing phosphate anion concentration. It was also found that the adsorption of phosphate species on CN., was strong and the corresponding ORR activity was not recov...
Probing the chiral magnetic wave in pPb and PbPb collisions at root S-NN=5.02 TeV using charge-dependent azimuthal anisotropies
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (2019-12-01)
Charge-dependent anisotropy Fourier coefficients (v(n)) of particle azimuthal distributions are measured in pPb and PbPb collisions at root S-NN = 5.02 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The normalized difference in the second-order anisotropy coefficients (v(2)) between positively and negatively charged particles is found to depend linearly on the observed event charge asymmetry with comparable slopes for both pPb and PbPb collisions over a wide range of charged particle multiplicity. In PbPb, the third...

Probing the phases in the MSSM via e(+)e(-) -> hA
Demir, DA (Elsevier BV, 1999-10-21)
In the presence of the supersymmetric CP phases, e(+)e(-) --> Z* --> hA scattering is analyzed, with special emphasis on Z* hA vertex, taking into account radiatve corrections due to dominant top quark and top squark loops in the Higgs sector as well as the vertex formfactors. It is found that the lightest Higgs remains essentially CP-even whereas the heavier ones mix with each other strongly. Moreover, the supersymmetric CP phases are found to create tree-level couplings between a pseudoscalar and identica...
Probing the sources of CP violation via B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2000-10-01)
B-->K*l(-)I(+) (l=mu, tau) is analyzed in a minimally extended standard model in which the Wilson coefficients have new CP-odd phases. The sensitivity of the CP asymmetry and lepton polarization asymmetries to the new phases is discussed. It is found that the CP asymmetry is sensitive to the new phase in the Wilson coefficient C-7 whereas the normal lepton polarization asymmetry is sensitive to the phase in the Wilson coefficient C-10. Additionally, the correlation between the CP and normal lepton polarizat...
