Pipelined design approach to microprocessor architectures a partial implementation : mips pıpelined architecture on fpga
Altıniğneli, Muzaffer Can; Güran, Hasan; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2005)
This thesis demonstrate how pipelining in a RISC processor is achieved by implementing a subset of MIPS R2000 instructions on FPGA. Pipelining, which is one of the primary concepts to speed up a microprocessor is emphasized throughout this thesis. Pipelining is fundamentally invisible for high level programming language user and this work reveals the internals of microprocessor pipelining and the potential problems encountered while implementing pipelining. The comparative and quantitative flow of this thes...

Spatiotemporal data mining for situation awareness in microblogs
Özdikiş, Özer; Karagöz, Pınar; Oğuztüzün, Mehmet Halit S.; Department of Computer Engineering (2016)
Detection of real-world events using messages posted in microblogs has been the motivation of numerous recent studies. In this thesis, we study spatiotemporal data mining techniques to improve situation awareness by detecting events and estimating their locations using the content in microblogs, particularly in Twitter. We present an enhancement to the clustering techniques in the literature by measuring associations between terms in tweets in a temporal context and using these associations in a vector expa...
Formulation of a beam finite element for micro beams
Pehlivanoğlu, Yücel; Kadıoğlu, Fevzi Suat; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2018)
This study presents an Euler Bernoulli type micro-beam finite element for analyzing the size-dependent static and dynamic behavior of micro beams. The new element is based on Modified Couple Stress Theory (MCST). The governing equations of motion and the boundary conditions for the beam are derived and the conventional Galerkin technique is employed to formulate the finite element. The new element can be reduced to Classical Euler-Bernoulli beam element if the size-effect parameter in the element matrices i...
