Determinants of innovation behaviour: analysis of 2004-2006 technological innovation survey of Turkey
Karakuzu, Miray; Pamukcu, Mehmet Teoman; Department of Science and Technology Policy Studies (2010)
Main purpose of this thesis is to analyse the main determinants affecting innovation behaviour by utilizing the results of Technological Innovation Survey of Turkey for the periods 2004-2006 combined with the results of Annual Business Statistics Surveys conducted for the year 2003. The total number of the observations of the matched data of the two Surveys is 947. Main underlying reason for the time lag introduced between the two surveys is to be able to relate firm and sector characteristics to the innova...
Deterministic integrated tuning of multicavity resonances and phase for slow-light in coupled photonic crystal cavities
Gu, T.; Kocaman, Serdar; Yang, X.; McMillan, J.F.; Yu, M.B.; Lo, G.-Q.; Kwong, D.-L.; Wong, C.W. (AIP Publishing, 2011-03-21)
We present the integrated chip-scale tuning of multiple photonic crystal cavities. The optimized implementation allows effective and precise tuning of multiple cavity resonances (up to similar to 1.60 nm/mW) and intercavity phase (similar to 0.038 pi/mW) by direct local temperature tuning on suspended silicon nanomembranes. Through designing the serpentine metal electrodes and careful electron-beam alignment to avoid cavity mode overlap, the coupled photonic crystal L3 cavities preserve their high quality f...
Determinative Factors of Cloud Computing Adoption in Government Organizations
Koç, Burcu; Şener, Umut; Eren, Pekin Erhan (2022-12-29)
Digital transformation in government organizations has led to the spread of e-government applications. Accordingly, government institutions face many challenges, such as the lack of highly skilled IT personnel and resources and inadequate technology infrastructure for these services. Since cloud computing offers eligible and cost-effective solutions for governments, they try to implement cloud-based solutions to improve their services and corresponding underlying networking infrastructures. Although this do...
