Extension of plurisubharmonic functions in the Lelong class
Yazıcı, Özcan (2014-01-01)
Let X be an algebraic subvariety of Cn and X be its closure in Pn. In their paper (J. Reine Angew. Math. 676 (2013), 33-49), Coman, Guedj and Zeriahi proved that any plurisub- harmonic function with logarithmic growth on X extends to a plurisubharmonic function with logarithmic growth on Cn when the germs (X, a) in Pn are irreducible for all a ∈ X\X. In this pa- per we consider X for which the germ (X, a) is reducible for some a ∈ X \X and we give a necessary and sufficient condition for X so that any pluri...
Analysis of various polarization asymmetries in the inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the fourth-generation standard model
BASHIRY, VALİ; Bayar, M. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2009-06-01)
In this study a systematical analysis of various polarization asymmetries in inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the standard model (SM) with four generation of quarks is carried out. We found that the various asymmetries are sensitive to the new mixing and quark masses for both of the mu and tau channels. Sizable deviations from the SM values are obtained. Hence, b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay is a valuable tool for searching physics beyond the SM, especially in the indirect searches for the fourth-gen...
Optimization of internal tagging of inhibitory G-proteins for investigating their interactions with dopamine receptor D2 via fret method
Özcan, Gizem; Son, Çağdaş Devrim; Özçubukçu, Salih; Department of Biochemistry (2016)
G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) constitute a large family of receptors which act by sensing the molecules outside the cell and start a signal transduction inside the cell through interacting with their associated G-proteins. This interaction results in activation or repression of related signaling pathways via associated secondary messengers. Dopamine receptor D2 (D2R) is a member of D2-like Dopamine Receptor group, which also belongs to the GPCR family. It is known that D2R has critical roles in emotio...
OPTIMIZATION OF THE VOLUMETRIC HYDROGEN CHEMISORPTION TECHNIQUE FOR DISPERSIONS OF RU/SIO2 CATALYSTS
Üner, Deniz; KING, TS (Elsevier BV, 1995-09-15)
Metal dispersions of silica-supported ruthenium catalysts determined by the standard volumetric chemisorption technique were found to be inaccurate due to irreversible spillover of hydrogen to the support. Direct evidence was obtained via in situ H-1 NMR for an irreversibly bound component of the hydrogen that migrated from the metal to the support on a time scale of tens of minutes or longer at room temperature. It was also shown in this work that hydrogen saturated the surface of the metal particles on a ...
Extension of Forward Backward Method with DFT Based Acceleration Algorithm for The Efficient Analysis of Radiation Scattering from Large Finite Printed Dipole Arrays
Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem (Wiley, 2003-04-01)
A discrete‐Fourier‐transform (DFT) based forward‐backward (FB) algorithm has been developed for the fast and accurate analysis of electrically large freestanding dipole arrays [1]. In this paper, an extension of the FB method (FBM) with a DFT‐based acceleration approach is presented to provide a relatively efficient analysis of EM radiation/scattering from an electrically large, planar, periodic, finite dipole array printed on a grounded dielectric substrate. Computational complexity of this new approach is...
