Modification of TiO2 and NiO charge selective mesoporous layers using excessive Y and Li additions for carbon based perovskite solar cells
Icli, Kerem Cagatay; Özenbaş, Ahmet Macit (2021-09-15)
Carbon based perovskite solar cells are rapidly emerging as promising photovoltaic devices, combining low cost production and prolonged device operation, due to the exclusion of polymeric conductors and integration of highly durable metal oxide charge selective layers. Modification of metal oxide mesoporous layers via element additions and enhancement of electrical conductivity is a major strategy for reduced internal resistances inside the cell. This work investigates the effect of excessive Y and Li addit...
Modification of Quinoa Starch by High Hydrostatic Pressure and Ultrasonication and Assessment of Its Physicochemical Properties
Unal, Kubra; Alpas, Hami; Öztop, Halil Mecit (2023-01-20)
Quinoa starch was extracted and treated with different technologies to modify its properties. High hydrostatic pressure (HHP) at 250, 350, and 500 MPa at 20 and 40 °C and ultrasonication at 100% power with a constant pulse for 15 min were applied as modification methods. Following the treatments, functional, rheological, morphological, and structural analyses were carried out. Time domain (TD) NMR relaxometry experiments confirmed that HHP treatment caused less granule swelling of starch. NMR relaxation spe...
Modification of polypropylene films for antistatic and anti-scratch properties
Kürkçü, Pınar; Bayramlı, Erdal; Department of Polymer Science and Technology (2007)
Polypropylene films are widely used in industry, especially for packaging purposes. However, these films become statically charged when they are subject to friction. The accumulation of charges in some applications can be harmful, especially for the electronic devices and can cause undesirable appearance due to the attraction of dusts. Furthermore, minimum susceptibility to mechanically induced surface damage is a desired property since scratches reduce the mechanical strength and the bright texture of the ...
Modification of epoxy by a liquid elastomer and solid rubber particles
ÇELİKBİLEK, CENGİZ; AKOVALI, GÜNERİ; Kaynak, Cevdet (2004-04-01)
This work covers studies on epoxy resin systems modified with two different rubber phases. The first modification was the use of recycled car tire rubber particles; while in the second one a silicon based liquid elastomer (Tegomer) was mixed with the epoxy resin matrix. In the third method epoxy resin was modified with both solid rubber particles and liquid elastomer together.
Modification of transparent and conducting single wall carbon nanotube thin films via bromine functionalization
Fanchini, Giovanni; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Chhowalla, Manish (AIP Publishing, 2007-02-26)
The results of bromine doping of transparent and conducting single wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) thin films are described. Br profoundly effects the density of states (DOS) of SWNTs which leads to dramatic improvement in the electrical properties. The authors show that the role of the Br is not only in shifting the Fermi level but also in forming acceptor sites in metallic SWNTs. These modifications of the DOS through bromination lead to simultaneous increase in both the on/off ratio and mobility of thin film...
