In this thesis, the symmetries of the spacetimes and symmetry related Killing family of tensors are investigated. The relations between the members of the Killing family of tensors are given. Conserved gravitational charges for the spacetimes are discussed. We calculated conserved charges for Myers-Perry spacetimes using the conserved Kastor-Traschen current obtainable from Killing-Yano tensors in 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 dimensions. We also studied a Kerr-like metric for rotating spacetimes. We showed that they share a common (conformal) Killing-Yano tensor and that the Hamilton-Jacobi equation separates. We found Carter's fourth constant of motion using the separability and using Killing tensors obtainable from the Killing-Yano tensor.

Killing family of tensors in classical gravitational theories
Menekay, Çağatay; Sarıoğlu, Bahtiyar Özgür; Department of Physics (2013)
In this thesis, the basic properties of the Killing family of tensors (Killing vector, Killing tensors and Killing-Yano tensors) are considered. Their relationship with integrals of motions and conserved gravitational charges are also discussed. The fourth constant of motion of a test particle in Kerr spacetime and its relationship with Killing tensor are reviewed. We have done a similar analysis for the newly discovered solution of Conformal Gravity. Next, the use of Killing-Yano tensors in the procedure f...
Dual metrics and nongeneric supersymmetries for a class of Siklos space-times
Baleanu, D; Baskal, S (2002-10-20)
The presence of Killing-Yano tensors implies the existence of nongeneric supercharges in spinning point particle theories on curved backgrounds. Dual metrics axe defined through their associated nondegenerate Killing tensors of valence two. Siklos space-times, which are the only nontrivial Einstein spares conformal to nonflat pp-waves are investigated with regard to the existence of their corresponding Killing and Killing-Yano, tensors. It is found that a class of Siklos space-times admit dual metrics and n...
Quantum mechanical treatment of the problem of constraints in non-extensive formalism revisited
Bagci, G. B.; Arda, Altug; Sever, Ramazan (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2007-07-10)
The purity of Werner state in non-extensive formalism associated with two different constraints has been calculated in a previous paper by Bagci et al.(17) Two different results have been obtained corresponding to ordinary probability and escort probability. The former has been shown to result in negative values thereby leading authors to deduce the advantage of escort probabilities over ordinary probabilities. However, these results have only been for a limited interval of q values which lie between 0 and ...
Chaos from equivariant fields on fuzzy S4
Coşkun, Ü. H.; Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin; Toga, G. C.; Ünal, G. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2018-12)
We examine the 5d Yang-Mills matrix model in 0 + 1-dimensions with U(4N) gauge symmetry and a mass deformation term. We determine the explicit SU(4) ≈ SO(6) equivariant parametrizations of the gauge field and the fluctuations about the classical four concentric fuzzy four sphere configuration and obtain the low energy reduced actions(LEAs) by tracing over the SF 4s for the first five lowest matrix levels. The LEAs so obtained have potentials bounded from below indicating that the equivariant fluctuations ab...
HIGHER-DERIVATIVE EFFECTIVE YANG-MILLS THEORY AND STATIC SPHERICALLY SYMMETRICAL FIELD CONFIGURATIONS
BASKAL, S; DERELI, T (IOP Publishing, 1993-04-01)
The variational field equations and the covariantly conserved energy-momentum tensor of a higher-derivative effective Yang-Mills theory are given. A class of static spherically symmetric gauge field configurations that follow from the Wu-Yang ansatz is considered.
