CH2ClCN and CH2FCN show resonances near 3 and 8 eV, similar to those previously observed in CH3CN. In addition, both compounds capture electrons within a narrow resonance at very low energy (< 1 eV). While in CH2ClCN this low-energy negative-ion state is exclusively associated with Cl− formation, in CH2FCN a variety of fragment ions (F−, CN−, CHCN−, CHFCN−, CFCN−) are observed.

Eigenvalues of the two-dimensional Schrodinger equation with nonseparable potentials
Taşeli, Hasan (Wiley, 1996-08-05)
The energy eigenvalues of coupled oscillators in two dimensions with quartic and sextic couplings have been calculated to a high accuracy. For this purpose, unbounded domain of the wave function has been truncated and various combination of trigonometric functions are employed as the basis sets in a Rayleigh-Ritz variational method. The method is applicable to the multiwell oscillators as well. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
Strong oscillations in the nondipole corrections to the photoelectron angular distributions from C-60
Toffolı, Danıele; Decleva, Piero (American Physical Society (APS), 2010-06-25)
Nondipolar corrections to the photoelectron angular distributions from C-60 have been calculated for the highest occupied molecular orbital ( HOMO), HOMO-1, and HOMO-2 photoemission bands. The computational method employed takes advantage of a parallel algorithm that uses a multicentric expansion of bound- and scattering-wave functions and a density-functional theory one-particle Hamiltonian. First-order nondipolar asymmetry parameters have been calculated from thresholds of up to 160 eV of photon energy. S...
Electronic properties of carbon nanotoroidal structures
Yazgan, E; Tasci, E; Malcıoğlu, Osman Barış; Erkoc, S (Elsevier BV, 2004-07-26)
Electronic properties of five carbon nanotori (C-170, C-250, C-360, C-520, and C-750) have been investigated by performing Extended-Huckel type calculations. Carbon nanotori considered is of Fonseca type having five-fold symmetry. It has been found that highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest occupied molecular orbital gaps of nanotori considered are very small, thus they may contain mobile electrons; pentagons and heptagons in the knee-regions act as an electron trap; and all the nanotori have a DOS dist...
Frequency shifts of the disorder-induced modes close to the tricritical phase transition in NH4Cl
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Old City Publishing, Inc, 2003-01-01)
We have studied the Raman frequencies of the disorder-induced modes of v, (93 cm(-1)) and v(5) (144 cm(-1)) close to the tricritical phase transition in NH4Cl (P 1.6 kbar, T. 257 K). Using our observed Raman data for these phonon modes, we have obtained the value of the exponent a approximate to 0.3 for the frequency shifts, which can describe the critical behaviour of the thermal expansivity a, and also of the specific heat Cp. Our exponent value can be compared with the value of 0.1 predicted by the 3d Is...
Event activity dependence of (nS) production in=5.02 TeV pPb and=2.76 TeV pp collisions
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-04-01)
The production of (1S), (2S), and (3S) is investigated in pPb and pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies per nucleon pair of 5.02 TeV and 2.76 TeV, respectively. The datasets correspond to integrated luminosities of about 31 nb(-1) (pPb) and 5.4 pb(-1) (pp), collected in 2013 by the CMS experiment at the LHC. Upsilons that decay into muons are reconstructed within the rapidity interval |y (CM)| < 1.93 in the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass frame. Their production is studied as a function of two measures of...
