We study the effects of sequential fourth quark generation in rare B --> K(K*)l(+)l(-) decays induced by the b --> s transition and in B-s(0)-(B) over bar (0)(s) mixing. Using the experimental values on the branching ratios of the B --> X(s)gamma and B --> K(K*)l(+)l(-) decays, the allowed regions for \VtbVts*\ and \Vt'bVt's*\ are determined as a function of the t' quark mass.

Fourth generation effects in rare B-s -> l(+)l(-) and B-s -> l(+)l(-)gamma decays
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savci, M (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2003-04-01)
The contribution of the fourth generation quarks to the rare B-s --> l(+)l(-) and B-s --> l(+)l(-)gamma decays are studied. Constraints on the extended Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements \VtbV*(ts)\ and \Vt'bV*(t's)\, are obtained from the existing experimental result for the branching ratio of the B --> X(s)gamma decay. The branching ratios of the above-mentioned decays, as well as the photon spectrum in the B-s --> l(+)l(-)gamma decay, are studied. It is found that the results are sensitive to the ...
Electric dipole moments of charged leptons in the split fermion scenario in the two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-11-01)
We predict the charged lepton electric dipole moments in the split fermion scenario in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model. We observe that the numerical value of the muon (tau) electric dipole moment is of the order of the magnitude of 10(-22) e cm (10(-20) e cm) and there is an enhancement in the case of two extra dimensions, especially for the tau lepton electric dipole moment.
Analysis of various polarization asymmetries in the inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the fourth-generation standard model
BASHIRY, VALİ; Bayar, M. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2009-06-01)
In this study a systematical analysis of various polarization asymmetries in inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the standard model (SM) with four generation of quarks is carried out. We found that the various asymmetries are sensitive to the new mixing and quark masses for both of the mu and tau channels. Sizable deviations from the SM values are obtained. Hence, b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay is a valuable tool for searching physics beyond the SM, especially in the indirect searches for the fourth-gen...
Radiative B-* meson decays in QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Pak, NK (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1997-01-01)
The decay constant g(B)* of the B* mesons and the transition amplitudes of the radiative decays B-a* --> B-a gamma are calculated in the frame-work of QCD sum rules. It is shown that the decay rates B* --> B gamma are one order smaller than the corresponding D* meson decays.
Forward-backward asymmetry of Drell-Yan lepton pairs in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-06-01)
A measurement of the forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) of oppositely charged lepton pairs (mu mu and ee) produced via Z/gamma* boson exchange in pp collisions at root s = 8 TeV is presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1) collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The measurement of AFB is performed for dilepton masses between 40 GeV and 2 TeV and for dilepton rapidity up to 5. The AFB measurements as a function of dilepton mass and rapidity are compared with the stan...
