Total cross sections in the range 6≤pL≤280 GeV/c are phenomenologically analyzed in order to extract symmetry properties of the Pomeron-f complex. The compatibility of a two component Pomeron with the second component contributing to NN, πN and KN cross sections in the ratio 9 : 4 : 2 is shown. It is found that ω-f exchange degeneracy critically depends on both f and Pomeron universality. Finally, it is demonstrated that one may interpret the Pomeron contribution as an enhances cut and the f contribution as a half-enhanced cut as calculated by Gribov.

Measurement of differential cross sections for the production of top quark pairs and of additional jets in lepton plus jets events from pp collisions at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2018-06-01)
Differential and double-differential cross sections for the production of top quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV are measured as a function of kinematic variables of the top quarks and the top quark-antiquark (t (t) over bar) system. In addition, kinematic variables and multiplicities of jets associated with the t (t) over bar production are measured. This analysis is based on data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016 corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.8 fb...
Measurement of differential cross sections for top quark pair production using the lepton plus jets final state in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2017-05-01)
Differential and double-differential cross sections for the production of top quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV are measured as a function of jet multiplicity and of kinematic variables of the top quarks and the top quark-antiquark system. This analysis is based on data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 fb(-1). The measurements are performed in the lepton + jets decay channels with a single muon or electron in the final state. The dif...
Measurement of top quark-antiquark pair production in association with a W or Z boson in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-09-01)
A measurement of the cross section for the production of top quark–antiquark pairs (tt¯) in association with a vector boson V (W or Z) in proton-proton collisions at s√=8 TeV is presented. The results are based on a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb−1 recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC. The measurement is performed in three leptonic (e and μ) channels: a same-sign dilepton analysis targeting tt¯W events, and trilepton and four-lepton analyses designed for tt¯Z events. In th...
Search for low-mass resonances decaying into bottom quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-01-01)
A search for narrow, low-mass, scalar, and pseudoscalar resonances decaying to bottom quark-antiquark pairs is presented. The search is based on events recorded in root s = 13 TeV proton-proton collisions with the CMS detector at the LHC, collected in 2016, and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). The search selects events in which the resonance would be produced with high transverse momentum because of the presence of initial- or final-state radiation. In such events, the decay product...
Measurements of differential cross sections for associated production of a W boson and jets in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2017-03-01)
Differential cross sections for a W boson produced in association with jets are measured in a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV recorded with the CMS detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb(-1). The W bosons are identified through their decay mode W ->mu nu. The cross sections are reported as functions of jet multiplicity, transverse momenta, and the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta ( H-T) for different jet multiplicities. Distributions...
