Structural and electronic properties of neodymium diiodide has been investigated by performing ab initio calculation within unrestricted Hartree-Fock level using compact effective potential-4G basis set. The structural, electronic, and vibrational properties of NdI2 triatom have been calculated in its ground state.

Structure and electronic properties of heterofullerene C30B15N15
Erkoç, Şakir (Elsevier BV, 2004-09-27)
Structure and electronic properties of heterofullerene C30B15N15 has been investigated theoretically by performing semi-empirical molecular orbital calculation at PM3 level within RHF formalism and density functional theory at B3LYP level including MP2 correlation correction. The structure has been found stable in the ground state but endothermic. The isolated C30B15N15 has a net dipole moment value of about 3 Debyes, and frontier molecular orbital energy gap value of about I eV. These properties make this ...
Electronic properties of carbon nanotoroidal structures
Yazgan, E; Tasci, E; Malcıoğlu, Osman Barış; Erkoc, S (Elsevier BV, 2004-07-26)
Electronic properties of five carbon nanotori (C-170, C-250, C-360, C-520, and C-750) have been investigated by performing Extended-Huckel type calculations. Carbon nanotori considered is of Fonseca type having five-fold symmetry. It has been found that highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest occupied molecular orbital gaps of nanotori considered are very small, thus they may contain mobile electrons; pentagons and heptagons in the knee-regions act as an electron trap; and all the nanotori have a DOS dist...
Structural and electronic properties of endofullerenes X@C-60
Erkoç, Şakir; Turker, L (Elsevier BV, 2003-09-05)
Structural and electronic properties of certain endohedrally doped C-60 has been investigated by performing semi-empirical molecular orbital calculation at PM3 level within RHF formalism. Hydrogenated B, C, N, Al, Si, and P atoms have been put into C-60 as dopant. Hydrogenated aluminum dopant decreases the binding energy of fullerene, on the contrary it increases the heat of formation of the system. Furthermore hydrogenated aluminum and phosphorus dopants reduce the frontier molecular orbital energy gap of ...
Charged models for the MoFe cofactor of a nitrogenase system - a PM3 study
Türker, Burhan Lemi (Elsevier BV, 2004-05-14)
Charged models (-/+1) for MoFe cofactor of a nitrogenase system have been considered for PM3 (RHF) type semiempirical quantum chemical calculations. The stabilities of the models were calculated and it was found that negatively charged model is more stable and more exothermic than the positively charged one. The calculated vibrational spectra and some quantum chemical data are presented for the models.
Theoretical investigation of quercetin and its radical isomers
Erkoc, E; Erkoc, F; Keskin, N (Elsevier BV, 2003-08-01)
The structural and electronic properties of quercetin and its five radical isomers have been investigated theoretically by performing semi-empirical molecular orbital theory calculations. The geometry of the systems have been optimized and the electronic properties of the systems considered have been calculated by semi-empirical self-consistend-field molecular orbital theory at the level AM1 within UHF formalism in their ground state. Conclusions have been drawn by comparing with experimental results.
