We investigate the possibility that the process of p(0)-meson photoproduction on proton, gamma+p --> p+p(0), in the near threshold region E-gamma pp(0))/dt, which has been measured by SAPHIR Collaboration. We find that the suggested model provides a good description of the experimental data with new values of pNN-coupling constants in the region of the time-like p(0)-meson momentum. Our results suggest that such model can be considered as a suitable nonresonant background mechanism for the future discussion of possible role of nucleon resonance contributions. Our predictions for p(0)-meson photoproduction on neutron target and for beam asymmetry on both proton and neutron targets are presented.

The decay rho(0) -> pi(0)pi(0)gamma and the role of sigma-meson
Gokalp, A; Yılmaz, Osman (2001-05-24)
We study the radiative decay p(0) --> pi (0)pi (0)gamma within the framework of a phenomenological approach in which the contributions of sigma -meson and omega -meson intermediate states and of the pion-loops are considered. We conclude that the sigma -meson amplitude makes a substantial contribution.
A theoretical study on vomitoxin and its tautomers
Türker, Burhan Lemi; Guemues, Selcuk (Elsevier BV, 2009-04-15)
In the present work, the structural and electronic properties of vomitoxin (deoxynivalenol, a mycotoxin) and all of its possible tautomers have been investigated by the application of B3LYP/6-31 G(d,p) type quantum chemical calculations. According to the results of the calculations, tautomer V-4 has been found to be the most stable one among all the structures both in the gas and aqueous phases. The calculations also indicated that, vomitoxin and V-2 possess the deepest and the highest lying HOMO levels, re...
A Numerically Stable Algorithm for Eccentrically Metamaterial Covered Circular Cylinders
DİKMEN, FATİH; SEVER, EMRAH; TUCHKİN, YURY ALEXANDEROVİCH; Sabah, Cumali (2016-08-18)
The regularization for monochromatic TM/TE-z polarized waves scattering from multiple non intersecting circular penetrable boundaries has recently been proven to be a requisite for its stable numerical implementation for a wide scope of parameters. The validity and necessity of corresponding regularization algorithm will be demonstrated for medium parameters which are from a double negative (DNG) material media. The preliminary numerical results which already prove the properties mentioned above are given i...
New experimental methods for the determination of the P parity of K mesons
Pak, Namık Kemal; Rekalo, MP (1999-04-01)
We propose new methods to determine the P parity of the K mesons experimentally, based on the measurement of polarization observables in K-meson production in polarized proton-proton collisions. The first method is based on the measurement of the sign of the spin correlation coefficient with transversally polarized protons. The second one is based on the measurement of the polarization transfer coefficient from the initial proton to the produced hyperon. [S0556-2821(99)01905-0].
An analysis of f(0)-sigma mixing in light cone QCD sum rules
Gokalp, A; Sarac, Y; Yılmaz, Osman (Elsevier BV, 2005-03-10)
We investigate f(0)-sigma mixing in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules and by employing the experimental results about the decay widths and the masses of these scalar mesons we estimate the scalar mixing angle by using sigma meson data and f(0) meson data. The two values we thus obtain of the scalar mixing angle are not entirely consistent with each other, possibly indicating that the structure of these mesons cannot be simple quark-antiquark states.
